I don't even know where to begin
We had 9/11 unfold while we were here, and it was a very formative time for a bunch of us, and oddly a very memorable day of being on the boards. I'll never forget the original sense of community and support when people learned that I was a New Yorker when everything happened.
We had members fake their deaths to get away from this place, because at one point, it was a huge part of our lives.
We had clan wars, which technically we're still waiting on. It was largely a bill of goods sold to us by another member, who essentially promised the equivalent of a MMO DnD-ish campaign for the members of different clans, which were more or less private clique boards here. There were 5 in total; Emerald Knights (the best one), Tantalus, Itazura, Fight Club and the Conan O'Brien Clan, which became the Evil Bad Guys. The best thing that came of it was a hilarious series of sprite movies that Korova made, which did a great job of depicting and deciphering all of the drama. Because it was a lot of drama at the time. So much so that people faked their deaths.
We had forum wars, which basically meant we would go and spam other forums because... I don't know why. Stupid teenage "honor", boredom?
There used to be lots and lots of member drama, different factions formed between groups, largely based on join date and cliques that formed in aim and msn chats with too many PBRs.
It's been an absolutely wild ride that I'm grateful to be a part of.
I'd be remiss not to thank Fuzz for keeping this place up and running for all these years.
