Congrads New Orleans Saints

Well another super bowl year is in the books with a new chapter, the New Orleans Saints are Super Bowl XLIV champions with a win over the Colts 31-17. I'm not a Saints fan, but I am very happy to see a team that never played in a super bowl and win. This is a great day for the Saints and their fans. For a team that 3 years ago didn't know if they would ever play in New Orleans again most of the state under water after the sad day after hurricane katrina that left many homeless, and other losing their loved ones. This is a great day for the people that live in Louisiana. Congrads to the New Orleans on a great season.

I was half rooting for the Colts, since it would've justified the Jets losing to them. In all honesty I didn't really care though.

I am not a fan of either teams but after watching the Saints tonight I must say they have sparked my intrest. I think I will follow them more closely next year. They put a hell of a fight from the get go, made one hell of a come back and desereved to win it all the way.

Same with all bowl games my house was split. The wife and Breyen went for the Colts as I had to oppose them and go for the under down and routed for the Saints.

It was a hell of a game and the Saints dominated 3 quarters.

Pete you should be happy that the douche bags that took down the jets got taken down by an underdog. Simular story for the Jets this year ay?

Poor Payton. I wanted him to win for some reason, but it looks like the Saints really wanted to win, and I think their city and team deserved it.

haha, Meier, I was torn on the subject. On one hand I wanted the Colts to lose, since they beat my Jets. On the other hand, if the Colts won, it would've justified the Jets losing.

At the same time, New Orleans really could use the pick-me-up.

On a simular note to the winning tonight I must say the Who kicked ass.

As for an opener though, Latifa and Underwood scuked a HUGE one. They were so off key it wasnt funny.

Che, I have to agree somewhat, the game was boring until the second half. After that it took a turn for exciting right at the kick off. Record one broken, onsides kick in the first of the 3rd; never happened. Total completeled passes in a super bowl game, record broken. 2nd act 2 point conversion = great. Shutting down the Colts in the last minute of the game and killing their dream of another super bowl ring = priceless. Also with the Saints being a fairly new team compaired to all of the others (outside Housten and the jags.) Taking a super bowl this early on in the development of a team let alone a franchise is one hell of a bonus.

I have to agree with Che and Meier. It was a boring game for the first half. and The Saints were sucking some fat ass. But It got alot better. I was rooting for them and i am glad they won.

I like the Saints, I really do. And Drew Brees has been totally underated in his career til this. Him and Sean Payton. I even like Jeremy Shockey cause he wasn't on the offense when the Giants won due to injury. So I'm happy for them. But I could give a shit about the people who all say that since they dealt with Hurricane Katrina they have to win. No you win because you want to win. Anything else is jargon.

People do not respect the Colts. I don't know about the rest of the country. But all I hear is Brady Brady Brady. People hate Manning and the only reason why is because he's good. They trash talk him even though he's nothing but respectful to players. They showed several Saints players saying how they felt disrespected so they had to win....that's the same shtick the Pats use. The disrespect card. I saw 0 coverage of any Colts the whole day before it was everyone probably aside from Indie and straggler fans, like myself. Against everyone else going nuts for the Saints.

People are now questioning Peytons legacy. But Tom Brady and his undefeated Pats went against the Road Warrior Giants and lost. If he can mess up and people still accept him, why not Peyton?

I'm sure my words are falling on deaf ears (Doesn't make sense online but still) Happy for the team, angry cause of the fans. Like usual.

Anyway I had a grimace for most of the game. And I took it in quietly. My friend took his axe and cut the head off a slowman and stuck it on his hat rack. That was my highlight of the night.





The one Sox hat was a gift he didn't buy it. Hence the Giants and Yankees hat.

I was looking forward to another Colts Superbowl win, pretty pissed off they blew it. I'm not surehow they just rolled over like that, but their defense couldn't stop jack from 2nd quarter on, and the 3 and out just before the half, Saints field goal, and Saints recovered onside kick was just a whole lot of frustration.
