AvG free does the trick for me
About a week ago or so I got "Personal Anti Virus"....that peice of crap!! I knew it was fake right away because I already had Norton. As soon as I saw the icon appear in on my programs bar I was like OHH NNOOOOOOOOO(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) In the past my old desktop had XP Anti Virus and after that It was fried....It kept restarting on it's own....trojan?? I thought that normally with these fake Anti Viruses you usually had to click on them and they embed themselves into your coumputer...
It was smart too. When I went to google how to get rid of it, it would block just those sites. Luckily, I went to Yahoo Answers because I figured it wouldn't be smart enough to block that. A person replied with a link to a page deticated specially to get rid of it. It wasn't that bad. A copy and paste here, and a download for MalwareBytes anti-Malware. It got rid of it with one click. (personal AV)
Will this keep my computer safe for now?
I have Norton but it will expire really soon because I just got this computer and that's what ot came with. It didn't help anyway....It blocks things well but still didn't fully protect my laptop -_-
What else is recommended besides MalwareBytes that is free?? any sugesstions?

AVG Free, Avast, Avira...
Avast is a wee bit sensitive though. But yeah, never click on ads for antiviruses; because they're all fake. Hell, just use Firefox with ad-block.
Would this be the proper site for AVG?
AVG Free - Download Free Antivirus and Antispyware for Windows 7, Vista and XP
I know sometimes there are scams of these too.

Spybot Search and Destroy, is my favorite anti-virus/trojan/spyware/adware programs
I'm wondering how you got the virus. Did you click on anything?
Crao Porr Cock8: Getting it while the getting's good
That's why I asked.. I actually don't think I did this time..I just canceled out and then scanned with my Norton and it said I had nothing. I knew I was infected because of the Icon of it that appeared on the bottom.
Could it infect without clicking?? maybe I did it without noticing 0_o
