Sooooo the artist of Multiplex linked a colorblindness test up on the internets aaaand knowing that I'd had an injury to my right eye a few years back, I thought it would be worth testing my eyes separately.
And then Mel laughed at me because of how pitifully I scored. It's not pretty.

Back in 2006, on my VERY LAST DAY working at the theater, I got the most perfect bubble of boiling oil that flew out of the popcorn popped and arced over my glasses and directly into my pupil. It was awesome! Except for the part where it wasn't awesome at all.
So, erm, how do you score? You don't have to test both eyes individually, but I wanted to do so for my own curiosity (I'm a little depressed about it now, actually). If your score is bad (high is bad!), what are the reasons for your colorblindness? Genetic, or injury-related?

I did both eyes together rather than individually. This test result is somewhat surprising to me because I need glasses in the worst way possible. Seriously, I am the last person in my entire family who hasn't worn glasses or contacts. There must be a genetic problem with eyesight that runs in my family. However much I need glasses, these results speak for themselves: I can see colors but I can't see shit.

Colorblindness tests have rising and falling popularity at work. We have a surprising number of people that are either fully colorblind or partially. As a result of that, people like to bring them up for largely good nature teasing to point out how color blind they are. I think I've taken some tests of similar appearance to the one you showed. I don't remember my scores, but in general I score pretty well, considering I'm artist I really should. It'd be pretty bad if I was bad with colors.
If you want to learn things about colors and the way the human eye/brain works take a color theory class. It'll blow your mind how much fudge work your brain actually does when it comes to color. It was one of the classes I never forget.

Here are my results. I wore glasses back when I was 8 or 9, and wore them for about six months. My Mom had my sight tested because I was always reading with the book so close to my face. I told her it was because I was getting so into the stories that it was like the books were pulling me in. Anyway, after complaining that I couldn't see with them after having them, I was tested again. I no longer had to wear glasses. The reason being my sight wasn't bad in the first place. The eye doctor had checked some of the wrong boxes during the test. My parents were refunded the money they spent on the glasses.
Dad's about to get surgery done on his eyes to get a cataract removed. Mom's colorblind. My brother has had metal shavings cut his, and my sister is supposed to wear glasses. I guess I was lucky in that I just had to wear glasses because a doctor filled out the forms incorrectly.

According to my cartography lecturer, 20% of males cannot fully distinguish red-green parts of the visible light spectrum. I get angry finding maps where colours range from red to green.

Hahaha I got a 34. I had NO idea. Holy crap. Should I be concerned?
When I firsted tried this morning, I scored 36 and thought that something had to be wrong... then I realized that my screen is set darker than it should normally be *coughs*
After trying again, I scored 18. Still not the best result, but at least it's not that bad anymore. xD

I got a 4. I suspect all the years of painting have helped me determine colours better I guess. My eyesight's always been really good, it's my ears that are the problem.

I'm surprised I did this well honestly.
I scored 49 but I hardly see how discerning colours from such a spectrum matters. As long as you can differentiate between colours of a rainbow, who cares.
I didnt put in that much effort anyway, the test is stupid. Even a person with perfect colour recepticles could screw that up.
dammit I do care, I got a low score and now im pissed off... not really. But I do care.

The first time I took the test, I had just gotten into work at 7:30 am. I scored a 49. I can see colours!!! Yey! I just can't focus on the detail.
The second time I tried in the afternoon, and scored a 36. It's a little better. I could see a little better, but it's the finite detail that I have problems with. I know what green and blue look like. I can distinguish between purple and pink, but once we start mixing shit together, it all looks the damn same. DAMN IT! Why can't colours be simple like in elementary school?

I have perfect vision in terms of seeing distances, reading, et al., but when I was in primary school I took a test implying that I may be colour blind - despite this I don't see any difference in images with 'colour-blind' filters applied, something I've done quite a bit in HCI design. I was beginning to think maybe my colour perception wasn't that bad.
My first time I got 285, forgot to save it, and tried again...
It's really hard. All the colours blend together, and I can only perceive a very small general difference between them, and have to move in and out of the screen to get an idea of some of the differences. 'Tis annoying the hell out of me.

I scored a 726. I knew I was colorblind, but that's just pathetic. I'm not a fan of color. I don't see color clearly because I'm not a racist. Color doesn't matter to me. I am perfect, and therefore my score was also perfect.
People here may have bad monitors. Most "Fast" (cheap) gaming monitors are pretty bad with color reproduction, which I assume is what most people have. The color temps could be warmer on one side than the other, or one side will have a different tint than the other, so getting a bad score doesn't mean very much.
