Since skype is all the rage I haven't seen anyone on there, is it still a hip and happenin place?

MSN became absorbed into skype, that's why you see no one on it. It has now been mandatory recently for you to merge your msn account with skype (if you had one previously). So yeah. You should have gotten an email some time ago, giving an announcement that MSN's services would be removed and replaced by Skype.

you can access old skool msn via outlook in your browser. Or download an msn app on ye olde smart phone.

I still use it. I'm sure there's someone somewhere who has developed an independent client so that you can still use it.

Hell, I still use AIM. That's even more old skool lol....

ICQ dates farther back, but you'd get more viruses than a hooker using that shit.

I didn't merge anything. I still sign on my MSN on my PC. No Skype link up because my MSN Messenger is a hotmail email and skype is gmail.

I remember MSN. But I remember not using it as much as AIM or Yahoo! Messenger back in the day. These days, I do idle in Skype via Trillian most evenings, but only because of %reasons%.

There are people I am friends with on Yahoo that I am not friends with on Facebook and vice versa. Same with MSN. Sure, there's a few people I have from forums and stuff like that on my FB account, but I try to keep my friends list to a minimum. I added the bf's family for the sheer purpose of.. Something. I can't think of the word for it. Blah. Whatever.

Facebook didn't invent the wheel. ICQ or AIM did. I'll say ICQ 'cuz I had it long before AIM. and then MSN got lumped in with the other 2 later on. Yes, I had all 4 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo - at one point. -_-; quite annoying sometimes.

I remember MSN! Used to use it all the time, back in the day when there were TFFers to talk to on it. I got tired of it's shit, and switched to basic social networking. Although, I can still sign into it on my laptop and iPod. Might have to do a test to see if it still works one day.

Skype is a load of shit. I go on it now and then, but I hate the layout. It's only worth talking to people on there with a mic. I've tried Google, and hated that too. MSN was decent, but I can't help but feel that it was that which killed my laptop.

Don't have facebook anymore, and I couldn't be happier about it. If you were my friend to begin with, you have my number and will make the attempts to call/text me or hang out. If not, I'll live. As for msn and skype, I've been so insanely busy that there's no shot of me having the downtime or [hysical capability to stay up til god knows when chatting anymore.
