Surely it would only lead to ringworms from an already present infection? Everybody had a moist nether regions, we're fungal bacteria can and will grow daily. Doesn't mean you'll have ringworm, or there'd be much more than just twenty-percent of the population with it. Showers are important, guise.
You can also get ringworm from a cat scratch, from petting a dog, and swimming in a pool. Just WALKING in a locker room can infect you.

I've never been shy about my sexuality or body, so... I've just gone ahead and bought them wherever. If people give me that "knowing" look, I would just start humping the air and wiggling my eyebrows at them until I had to get money out of my pocket. Sometimes I did that anyways to just make it uncomfortable for them.
I've never been uncomfortable with it either. Just grab a box of Skyn brand (thin enough it don't kill the feeling) and pay for them with the rest of the junk I buy from Big W. I've never really gotten the big deal - everyone responsible enough to want to prevent various STDs buys the bloody things.

They might be, depending on where it is. Don't places still require you to be 18 to buy condoms?

The first time I tried to buy them, I went to a little bodega a neighborhood or two away from mine, and the cashier told me I was too young to be buying condoms. I told him that I was too young to be a dad. He replied that you couldn't knock someone up your first time.
I was 15, going upstate with my parents and brother. How or why I thought I was going to get laid was beyond me, but the exchange was hilarious. I remember talking to cloud711 (oldschool name drop!) about going to a county fair, and he said something about upstate girls being easy, especially at fairs. I was so nervous and did so much internet research on them. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see that exchange again.

Edit* Nope, not age restricted, at least not here in the UK.. but these ones were security protected, probably to stop some idiot opening the packet and poking holes through the packets thinking they are funny
