    Big fat juicy weiners

    Hot dogs, sausages, brats, whatever you wanna call them. It's barbecue season. I'm curious as to what everyone else throws on their grill.

    Personally, we keep it simple. Burgers, hot dogs and Italian sausages if we're feeling up to it. Our bbq's are usually more about the beer and less about the quality of food, although, I would like to try to make some slow cooked ribs and sear up a nice strip steak.

    I'm in need of some nice ****ing sausages. It's been too long.

    I also love me some steak. Medium well...Juicy... Marinated is an option, but it doesn't need to be. The last steak I had was marinated in a home made teriyaki sauce. The roommate kind of messed it up again, but it wasn't all that bad. Next time it will be better.

    Last night was a nice juicy pork chop. Best pork chop I ever had.

    Steak, 35mm thick preferably, medium.
    But I also like thick firm sausages.
    Chicken kebabs on the grill.

    I also like to grill my veges, grilled capsicum, eggplant, zucchini, tomato, pumpkin.
    Delicious but you have to remember if you want to grill eggplants you have to slice your eggplant not to thick otherwise this won't work and not to thin otherwise you will grill them to a charcoal, then you need to coat them in salt and let them sit to try and extract all the unnecessary moisture from the flesh, so if they are to thick then you won't be able to get it out.

    Honesty my family has never been much of a grilling family.
    I mean we do cook on it occasionally, but it's never anything fancy.
    Chicken breasts, steak, hamburgers and hot dogs.
    Though now that I've moved out, my roommates and I have grilled more in one year than my family does in 5.

    No barbeque goes without our famous national delicacy, ćevapi. On top of that we usually use chicken breasts & wings, German sausages, thin slices of pork meat, and... well, that's about it.

    Well, hot dogs are wieners, but sausages and brats are in separate categories.

    When I grill, it's usually burgers, brats, steaks, chicken, or salmon. The last time I grilled, it was lamb, but that was in Afghanistan -- before that, it's probably been a couple of years since I grilled (though I'll be doing some grilling later this weekend), and I haven't barbecued for probably a decade, now. With steaks and burgers, I'll toss some other stuff on there -- leeks, mushrooms, maybe some onion slices, maybe even slice up some tomatoes and bread them and toss 'em on. And usually with brats, I'll boil them first, because otherwise there's a fine line between burned outside and raw inside.

    Depending on what time of day it is, sausages or steaks with eggs and potatoes are a must-have in the morning. Sometimes when I catfish all night, I'll bring a grill (or a grate to put over a fire) and things to make, and I'll dip a steak in scrambled egg before I toss it on. I've even used a turkey baster to inject egg and cheese into a steak -- that's just about the ultimate breakfast meal. Make a tinfoil bowl and melt some cheese in it, and beat some eggs in another bowl, then inject them both into a steak and grill it.

    hate to be a texas stereotype, but we grill probably once a week. no joke. usually its sausage, pork or chicken. Every once in a while we will do ribs or a brisket (for special occasions) and vegetables of some sort - corn, mushrooms or peppers.

    BBQ days are my family's specialty. My daddy can grill some mean sausage, and my mother in law has the best macaroni salad, but my steaks leave em all behind. Honestly I wish I could cook them more, but steak isn't cheap even Texas. I found this special recipe for the marade by accident. It was originally a burger recipe for my friends one of a kind burgers....I went home and switched a few things out and in and I got a pretty good recipe on my hands. The only thing I love more than those steaks are my moms mashed potatoes. OMG they are so good you don't even need gravey. YUM

    I love the hell out of steak juicy as hell medium rare, Italian sausage, and love BBQ in general. One of the things I love about sommer (SLURP!)

    I like wieners. At work the other day, my manager dumped a bunch of them into the sink and I was like "I have never seen so many in one place" and he was like LOL.


    I like mine with sauerkraut and spicy mustard.
