There's not enough sport discussion here on TFF, this thread may help to change that. Bellow are few simple questions, if I missed something in particular feel free to add as long as it's related to sport.
With that being done, I shall answer my own questions.*What's your favorite sport, and why?
*How often do you watch sports on TV?
*What's your favorite team, and why (those who keep track of individual sport may skip this question)?
*Do you consider yourself to be a hardcore fan of your team?
*In your opinion who's the best player/individual (both currently, and overall) in sport you've chosen?
*If you had to pick one match/event as the best match/event you've seen, which one would it be?
*Last, but not the least, do you play any kind of sports, be it professionally or just for fun?
*What's your favorite sport, and why?
My favorite sport is football, soccer for you Yanks. I started watching football with my father, who's also an avid fan. He even named me, and my brother by famous football players, shame though both of us never were good at it. Still, I took interest in football very early in my life, over the years I gained an impressive knowledge as far as football goes.
*How often do you watch sports on TV?
It really depends, I usually watch sports on weekends, when England's Premier League, and German Bundesliga are going on, though Champions League is on Tuesday and Wednesday. I do watch other sports whenever I have time, so I would say quite often.
*What's your favorite team, and why (those who keep track of individual sport may skip this question)?
Usually fans support their local team, not me though. I've grown fond of a team that's not even in my country, what can I say, blue is the color. I started supporting Chelsea for a silly reason really, but it was a start nevertheless. I remember when I was a brat, me and my friend watched a match between Chelsea and Liverpool. I was sure the blue team would win so we placed a bet, Liverpool won of course, and I lost my bet. It didn't really matter, I continued to follow the blue team ever since then.
*Do you consider yourself to be a hardcore fan of your team?
Rarely do I miss to watch Chelsea play, I knew to skip school just to watch the game. I do feel sad, sometimes even angry when they lose, victory alone on the other hand can make my day. I was there supporting Chelsea through both success and crisis, do these things not qualify me as a hardcore fan, but then again it really depends what other may define as hardcore fan.
*In your opinion who's the best player/individual (both curently, and overall) in sport you've chosen?
Even though some might disagree with my choice, at this moment Xavi Hernandez is by far the best player out there. Messi, who's also an excellent player, showed what it means to play with, and without Xavi, hence perfect performance in Barcelona, and just the opposite while playing for Argentina. Xavi on the other hand was brilliant on both club, and national level, a damn shame he wasn't awarded for the best player this year.
I was lucky to be born in probably the best period for football, time where some of the best players were on the field. Baggio, Bergkamp, Gianfranco Zola, Zidane, Marco van Basten, Schmeichel, Maldini, just to name few, the best one though, is Ronaldo as far as I'm concern. Ronaldo would score with such ease, it was simply unbelievable. The way he would make any defense to look like a bunch of kids, truly an il fenomeno.
*If you had to pick one match/event as the best match/event you've seen, which one would it be?
I've seen many great games, though only one blew everyone, including me, away. 2005 Champions League final, Milan against Liverpool. Wouldn't be far away if I called it the best match in history of football. Milan went on halftime with advantage of 3-0, the game was already over according to many, boy were they wrong.
I don't know what Rafa said to his players at halftime, but whatever he did it worked. Liverpool managed to score three goals in second halftime, thus securing the extra time where both teams missed several opportunities to take the lead. Winner had to be decided by taking the penalties, Liverpool was far better team at penalties, thus won at the end despite being at huge disadvantage in second halftime.
*Last, but not the least, do you play any kind of sports, be it professionally or just for fun?
I used to, not anymore though. Last time I played something close to sport was actually a sport video game. Guess I became too lazy, I should really come to my senses, and chase that ball a little bit, or at least table tennis
