Yeah a bit late there Mr Che, doubt i could have seen it anyway
I'm from Dublin, which is nicknamed the big smoke
Have to go up the mountains if i wanna see stars/clear skies
I went outside and caught one streaking across the sky a few minutes ago. So freaking cool. Now I'm all in the mood and wanting to know why we're a giant floating blue ball of life in the middle of no where.
"If you want to see this event you can venture out early in the morning of August 12 in Eastern Standard Time Zones and look toward the darkest part of the sky in the east/northeast. Perseid Meteors will streak across the sky at an extremely high rate this year."

Haven't seen any meteorites, but I saw a meteor last night...
I was swimming in my pool at around 9 PM last night and saw something I've never seen before in my entire life. A fireball of a meteor. In the sky, it was about the size of my thumb, burning with a white light and was outlined in orange. It broke up into three pieces and then faded. I was unaware of the Perseid meteor shower, at the time... The whole thing was visible only for a second.

It was overcast last night where I live, so even though I stared out a window for half an hour, I got nothing. The clouds had some pretty texture though...
