One reason I dont take the movement seriously to begin with is that I had debates with people that credit her and her work. Needless to say, they identified as feminists. I have since learned that there is a broader spectrum and my hate is more to do with SJW's than it is with modern feminism, or feminism is general.
I try not to discriminate. I hate stupid people regardless of their cause.

I wouldn't call this feminism. There are plenty of strong female leads in video games and other pop media. I could classify this as censorship though. People get offended at various aspects of everything. Like this chick getting offended about the color pink. Studies have shown that women typically prefer redder shades of every color, so why wouldn't they prefer pink to blue? And even from an evolutionary standpoint, there are reasons why women would have a stronger sensitivity to shades of red. People who get offended over stupid shit are stupid.

okay let me put something to you guys. Anita Sarkeesian is no doubt, a respected and reputable member of her community. She would identify primarily as a feminist, not only because of her ideology, but because of her career as a jouranlist/blogger etc. She has a responsilbity to represent her community given the support she recieves from her peers/followers. If we believe her to be as stupid as im sure we all agree, should the same not be thought about her supporters too? I guess thats the point I was trying to get across, HA.
I know she has a huge following and is highly regaurded in most feminist forums, so those feminist that do not wish to identify with her, would be a minority? I am reffering to the people with a noble heart but logical mind. How can they possibly identify as a feminist but disagree with sarkeesian, due to her prestigious role in the community?

I simply just can't stand the woman. She actively LOOKS for ways to be victimised in video games. I've played video games for most of my life, and not once have I felt threatened because I'm a woman, or got pissed of because the antagonist is usually a male, or been put off playing the vidja or working in the industry because it's male dominated. She has far too much time on her hands.
I don't view her as the face of feminism. I do not identify as feminist, but I think of the likes of Emily Bronte, Marie Curie, Emma Watson, Ellen Page, Oprah Winfrey, and Angelina Jolie as better role models and leaders of feminism than her. I do not respect Anita or her opinions. She's the crazy feminist type I stay the hell away from.

There are a lot of females who don't agree with her either. I understand her point on getting death threats, because nobody should be getting those. However, she does keep adding fuel to the fire. So imo she is part of her own problem. Going to UN to tell people that others tell her "you suck" as a paraphrase is something I'd expect from a child...not a grown adult. Like some of you have mentioned, there have been strong female game characters throughout history. Personally, I could care less about the gender of the character I am using. I am more worried about the actions and mentality of that character. Isn't that what should be the most important factor? I guess not. Just in case some person reads this thread and feels like there are only males providing criticism, that is going to be false with this example of a video:

She shows sections of video games that show women in more desperate situations, or at a point below a male counterpart, and she calls it sexist, because it's 2015, and apparently everybody is a *****. And apparently showing women in video games being feminine is sexist, because I guess all women are supposed to be butch and manly or some shit. Or if video games show women in revealing clothing. Apparently that's sexist, even though a lot of women in the real world wear revealing clothing.
And apparently it's also sexist not to have a female protagonist, which I completely disagree with. If you have a game that's essentially a cooking, cleaning, and supporting your husband simulator, then sure, a female protagonist will work, but overall women are pretty uninteresting.
Oh I meant on her calling out Anita. I was referring to the icy-haired woman.
I don't know what HER whole deal is, but I'm certainly not saying one is better or worse than the other. I just think that her bit calling out Anita was pretty spot on, in spite of the annoying voice.
