How will the prize money be handed out? (You can't just send Gil, if I recall correctly.)

There's just a 'donate' feature isn't there? All Meier has to do is 'donate' the money to the place-getters. That's how one pays for signatures and stuff made by that group...what's it called. Pretty awesome feature.

Also, it will have to be spent pretty fast, as the upcoming version of TFF will probably not have this feature.

Which sucks. I think the role of gil should be expanded.

Though I just tries withdrawing my savings monies, and it kept telling me 'invalid amount' (there's about $27,000), even though I tried everything from 20,000 Gil upwards in 500 Gil increments. I thought it was how I was phrasing it, but I tried multiple formats and no luck

But you can be a part of it by participating in the voting end of things. Just remember that there is a minimum post requirement there also but it is much lower.

Well with the more people that enter the lower the starting points will be. There is no way I am going to start everyone with 10PTs. This thing would run on for over a year if I did haha. I think last year we started at 9 and we had half the people. So I am not sure where I am going to start everyone but it will be greater then 5 and less then 9.

Well even though you can't compete as one of the contestants you should be able to actually vote if you hit the minimum post count requirement. You are already half way there so get to posting so you can help in the vote!

So with that said I also want to announce that the minimum post count required to vote in this years competition is going to be 50+. I have been asked a few times so I figured I would just a head and put that out there.
