    *A New Year to ceLebrate!*

Hehe! Seeing that now is a new year (WeLcome to 2010).. I'm wondering if everyone have a new year's resoLutions, Like in my case.. I do have so many resoLutions and I do write them because I can easiLy forget things..

    exampLes are:
    *Not to eat so much
    *Do homeworks often
    *Wake up earLy.. and etc.

and this is my first time to do resoLutions.. LoL!

So, first of aLL.. how was your new year? Lots of parties, fireworks and smokes, I know..! I did passed many parties to spend time with my famiLy since my christmas vacation, it was okay though!

Do you have some resoLutions to foLLow this year? And do you find it usefuL or just a waste of time..? I want to hear some thoughts..

I worked both New Year's Eve and Day so...yeah. Didn't do anything special. I did stay up past midnight but not to watch the ball drop or fireworks or what have you. I was reading. XD I don't think I've ever done anything in particular for New Year's.

Resolutions...I don't make them because I'm part of the 99.9% of the population that will not keep them. As far as I'm concerned it's just idle talk to try and convince ourselves we will have a better year.

I do set goals for myself, however. Yes I know, they're almost the same. Almost. Having a goal to work towards is to me very different from a hastily made promise that will be ignored and willfully forgotten after the party's over.

My goals this year aren't much different from the standing goals I've had for months and have already been working on. The only difference is that I make them quantifiable and therefore accountable.

    I. Read more. Specifically, I am aiming to read a minimum of 52 books.
II. Write more. At least 100,000 words of fiction by the end of the year.
III. Continue learning how to cook. By the end of the year I want to be cooking at least one meal for myself every day. This includes baking some sort of snack or dessert once a week.
IV. Personal fitness. A minimum of 90 minutes of exercise per week to start, working my way up to double that by the end of the year.
    V. Learn a new skill. Doesn't much matter what, even if it's just something small. Changing my own oil, for example.

I made 2 resolutions last year, did not finish either of them.

But if I did? It would just probably still be to play the guitar.

For New Years I went to a high school party, with a bunch of kids. They always have twice as much alcohol as the college parties I have been to so I went there. While there some underage chick kept coming on to me, so I had to set her straight. I told her to f*ck off as nicely as I could then continued my drinking. Around three in the morning I walked home and passed out.

    My Resolutions

    1. Survive my tour in Iraq
    2. Make Sergeant before the end of the year.
    3. Have my first pro MMA fight
    4. Become a general on Halo 3
    5. Learn how to play the bass for Johnny Be Good
    6. Go to Pittsburgh and eat at Quaker Steak and Lube's

MY first one of course is the most important. As far as I know my active duty begins in June. Hopefully it goes well, and I can come back.

Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!

I only have two resolutions. One of them is a pipe dream, the other is something that will get done either way and was decided on before new years, so these barely count.

Pipe dream: properly balance university and gaming. Lawl, that won't happen.

Pre selected resolution: Save up enough money for a trip to Japan by the fall. A buddy of mine was planning a trip and a few of us decided it would be fun if we all went.

    Until now!

I got to party with a bunch of 9 to 12 year olds on New Year's, and by party, I actually mean make sure they didn't tear shit up while they were running amok in the house.

I don't think you should ever have more than two girls playing together at one time. I learned that the hard way. No matter what they decided to do, someone would get thier feelings hurt and start crying, or there would be a lot of cattiness going on, and then even more drama and crying would happen. Makes me want to tie my uterus in a knot or something when I deal with a bunch of kids all at once.

We also had our dining room decorated in Hannah Montana, because that's the theme that was decided on (not by me though...). Good God, she was EVERYWHERE. Table cloth, paper plates, 2 table centerpeices and a great big window covering of her image. Well she made them happy, so I guess that's the most important.

Oh, and they decided to karaoke. Badly. I mean REALLY badly, and they sang the same two songs over and over again. One that Jesse McCartney sings and the other was a Taylor Swift song. They did this until about 5 in the morning.

There were some fireworks that got shot off at midnight, and you could see them from my house, so I went outside to check 'em out, mostly to get away from the girls.

So, yeah. I could have had a better time, because my co-workers were throwing a party down the road from where I live, but considering my circumstances at the moment, I decided that it would be best to just stay home. Or so I thought.

As for resolutions, I don't make 'em either, because I know that I won't keep them or I'll just forget about 'em. It would be nice to try and stop sleeping so much during the day, but I'm a girl who loves her naps, even if it means not being able to sleep as well at night.

My new years was pretty good. I went to a bar with my friends, left said bar, re-entered said bar when one of his friends asked me to stay a little while longer, got her number, went home, passed out and was hungover/ drunk til about 2pm.

As for resolutions, I'm kind of still sticking with my old ones. Just trying to be a good/ better person, and maybe cutting down on how much I drink.... maybe.

Well for new years I played Mr. Mom to about 6 kids, while every one else in teh house got f'ed up on booze! I had a couple drinks but nothing that would get me trouble with the law, took a nap at around 3 AM and headed home around 4. It was honestly a blast and couldn't of asked for better company for the bringing in of the new year.

    As for my resolutions;

    1: Quit smoking
    2: Avoid pregnancy
3: Be a better dad then last year, will be hard to top though
    4: Quit smoking once again
5: try to have more of that special time with the wife, if you catch my drift. bow chickibowwow.

    So that is it.

I honestly don't know if I regret what I did on New Year's. On New Year's Eve, I went to my friend's little get together and we started watching the countdown. Turns out, we didn't watch the countdown till like the last 5 minutes in. We were too busy playing beer pong and King's Cup. I had the mentality that I was going to go hard or go home. And right about 1 in the morning, I ended up drinking the hard stuff and going home with a really bad hangover.

I rarely get drunk but I just wanted hard liquor. It was really stupid of me. The only time I did have something light was when I drank some beer which was when I got challenged to a game of beer pong. And you know, a challenge is a challenge. I'm not going to back down even when I'm shitfaced! And of course, I lost. Haha. But I was at a total disadvantage. I couldn't even stand up properly or toss the balls in. It still surprises me I got like 3 balls in out of the twenty times I tried.

I ended up crashing out though and woke up with the worst hangover of my life. I gotten about a few hours of sleep and I suddenly woke up. When I woke up, I felt so dehydrated and nauseous. I just went straight to the bathroom and start puking. I threw up for a good majority of the day. On top of that, I made a commitment prior to the party that I would help my friend's dad move.

So I had to get up early and help him move his things to his new house. She told her dad that I had the flu so I had to hide my way around it. It was pretty bad though. When we could go back to back from his old house to his new house, I would have to just puke. It really took a lot out of me to make sure that I didn't blow chunks in his truck. I ended up being done by the afternoon though and went straight to bed.

I woke up a couple hours later and felt a little better. Prior to that, I tried drinking water between my barf trips, but I did end up drinking a lot more and forcing myself to eat after my nap. I'd say I ended up getting better by the end of the day. Hangovers still suck though. Story of my life.

    As for New Year's Resolutions:
    1) Keep moving forward in life.
    2) Hit the gym hard.
    3) Drink less. (This seems to be a lot of people's resolutions. Haha.)
    4) Get a job. (A permanent job. At this point in time, I'd be thankful for even a seasonal or temp one but a permanent job sounds better and beneficial.)
    5) Get a dog.
    6) Go on a road trip during winter break to Canada.
    7) Go skydiving.
    8) Get that damn court internship in the summer.

I went on a Disneyland Paris coach trip for the New Year. It was such fun, although my boyfriend got insanely bored and started moaning and complaining about everything, but at leat he bought all my meals at the park, and I came back with Euros to spare. Despite that I had a wonderful time, and would like to go back, partly because our tickets were an either/or ticket, which meant we could either go to Walt Disney Studios Park, OR Disneyland Park. Also, I completely forgot about Disney Village, just outside both parks.

I'm not one to make resolutions, but I am detemined to finish my driving lessons this year. Karen, my instructor, thinks I am pretty close. Also, I need to get my eyes tested beforehand. On top of that I have a lot of saving to do if I am to start university again in 2011... :/

    My New Year's Resolutions

    1. Make my senior year memorable.
    2. Find success in everything I do
    3. Fix my study/homework habits
    4. Confess my feelings towards a girl I've been crushing on for a while. Probably, during Valentine's day or Senior Prom. @_@;;
    5. Get into college
    6. Get Final Fantasy XIII, KH:BBS, Pokemon Soul Silver, and all the games I've been anticipating. It's gonna be a good year.~

That's all there is to it.

I've had simple New Year's Resolutions in the past, but I've never completed them. These goals I've listed are reachable and I believe I finish them. I know it!
