Fire and Ice by Robert Frost | Poetry Foundation
Just a general, "I like this poem, yadda yadda" thread, where we yak about poetry.
I'm going to start with Fire and Ice, by Robert Frost, one of my favorite poets, linked above, and with the text posted here for the lazy.
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
"I find this all to be highly inappropriate."
