    Lucid Dreaming

Hi! About a month ago my friend suggested that we could start a Dream diary so we can Lucid dream. And today he finally had a Lucid Dream! I was jealous (i hope i using this word right ).

    Sooooo...
Have any of you experienced a Lucid dream? What did you do? How did you improve to dream a Lucid dream instead of regular dream?

I am asking myself ''Am i dreaming'' since 16th of September. I have read in some forums that i will ask it in dream and i will recognize it as dream.. But there`s another problem - i haven`t seen any dreams lately :/ Almost a week without dreams! What should i do to dream more? And how long it should take for me to achieve a Lucid dream? And is there any more suggestions for me? Or am i doing something wrong?
I apologize if you was like this '''' . If i made any gramar, spelling or any other stupid mistakes, i`m sorry

I always wanted to start a thread about Lucid Dreaming. I don't know why I didn't. Anyway. Yes, Lucid Dreaming is possible. I've experienced it a few times myself. It takes a long time to achieve. A lot of meditation to prepare the mind, patience, and total relaxation. The whole point of lucid dreaming is to know that you're dreaming. Hence the lucid part. For me, it usually happens when I'm absolutely exhausted and my mind of caught off guard. It happens during the nights I don't realize I actually fell asleep, thus bringing a part of my conscience mind with me into the dream. I have had a conversation with my sub-conscience before as well. It's a gratifying experience. If you spend your nights asking "Am I Dreaming" over and over, it won't work. You need to actually prepare your mind. It takes a lot of practice.

We dream every night, no matter what. Here are some tips about lucid dreaming. Google lucid dreaming yourself and see what you con find. If you think about it too much, you won't achieve anything and will ultimately frustrate yourself. Just relax. When I first started, I would just lay in bed with the lights off and focus on just relaxing, keeping my eyes open, but not fighting sleep. That way when you do fall asleep, you don't realize you have and think you're still in your room. When you can finally move around, get that brain working. You can do whatever you set your mind to.

Also, the Dream journal does work. The more dreams you can remember, the better lucid dreaming will be for you. Just don't try to force yourself to dream.

I only started Lucid dreaming at the beginning of this year. I haven't achieved it 100% yet, but I have just enough to be able to control myself, my thoughts and emotions to be able to talk to my sub conscience. It took me a few months just to do that. It takes time. I've also studied for tests in dreams before. I passed the test, but it had to have been the most ****ed up dream I ever had.

Don't worry about using that DMT crap. You don't need to **** up your lungs to achieve lucid dreaming.

Hope this helps and good luck to you. If you have questions, feel free to PM/VM me and I'll try to help you out.

    Re: Lucid Dreaming

theres no way to bridge the gap between reality and fiction other than your own senses. Those that would claim to be able to do that unconciously are literally delusional. You might think you are in control of your dream, but its the dream thats actually in control of you. But the dream is a product of your mind, and you are in control of your mind, right? Wrong. The mind acts upon its own accord once you leave concioussnes. Think of it as a form of autopilot. Its almost like a split personality. The part of you that is dreaming, is not real. Because you will wake up and be brought back to this place. Unharmed, unscathed and councious.

    Re: Lucid Dreaming

Ive been able to lucid dream since I was like 11. Though I haven't been bothered to do it in the last couple of years.

Like the above said, simply put you need to open up the gap between the subconscious and conscious through meditation. The easiest way to spot youv'e achieved this this is when all your prejudices dissapere in your mind or you appear to be talking with someone else, (although most prejudices you won't know you have so it might be a bit hard to detect). This is extremely difficult to achieve and can only be done the first few times while you are allmost asleep. Another way to breach the gap is by breaching the sub-conscious to conscious visual elements. Again this is achieved through meditation etc. A final way is through sound, although this is the most difficult and least productive so I wouldn't recommend even attempting it for a long time.

Eventually you can do some crazy things with months of practice. I can turn off my entire vision while im fully awake and instead see what my subconscious is thinking about. My eyes are wide open but all I see is hallucinations coming from my subconscious (((alot of sex, damn perverted subconscious >.>))). This can be quite a neausance taking it this far however as it can cause you some visual problems for a few days. Again this can be done with sound but its much harder. What I can't do while im fully awake though is breach the thinking part and listening to my subconscious, maybe ill attempt that one day but im not sure if its even possible.

Although my methods of doing these things are purly personal to me and may or may not work for other people, I could go into extensive detail on techniques if you want to PM or something. I dont want to write a 4 page essay here on how to lucid dream or any number of things.

Anyway Rowan. As an answer to you. Everything about this is designed for the subconscious to fire the information into your receptive senses and mind like it does while you are unconscious (which is where dreams come from). If you can achieve this while you are still conscious you are doing something the body doesn't want you to do but it is still possible. The point is you are not leaving consciousnes, but existing with the subconscious at the same time. I remember the first time I managed to achieve it and my body went on the fritz, I swear I allmost had a heart attack lol. It really didn't like me doing that for a few times after either.

And as a final point Kyra pointed out the 1 most important fact. It is something extremely difficult to understand and accomplish but must be achieved. You must not "think" about meditating or trying to see things or trying to hear your subconscious but you must also "listen" for it at the same time. The best way I can describe it is "knowing" what it is you are searching for but not "thinking" the words in your mind. Relaxing is idd a good way to explain it ^^

    Re: Lucid Dreaming

I haven`t been dreaming at all for a week :/ Is there any way to dream every night? For example, maybe i should drink tea before sleeping or something?

This night i`m going to try keep my eyes open as Kyra said. After a week i will try to post the outcome.

I read that i should draw a big letter ''a'' on my palm, so i recognize it in dream. Has anyone tried this? Did it work?

Can i blink and think while trying to sleep with my eyes open? I find it hard to not blink, but one time when i wasn`t blinking for about minute, my vision turned all black, and then something in brain started to hurt :/

I've always been a lucid dreamer. I'm just lucky I guess. I've had some really trippy lucid dreams, too!
