    Rankin/Bass Stop-Animation Christmas Films

With the "25 Days of Christmas" program on ABC Family airing this month, it brought this question to my brain (yummy) - Among the many denizens of TFF, who enjoys the stop-motion animation of the Rankin-Bass such as: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus, etc?

These are some of the few musicals that I like a lot and I am not too fond of musicals. My family used to have a taped videotape cassette of most of these short films and some other animated Christmas films (A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas). Watching them are one of the best parts of the Christmas season to me as they bring back fond memories of my childhood.

Anyhuma, what are your thoughts people of TFF? Do you like them as well? Do you even know of their existence? Or, in your blackened heart do you loooooooooooathe them? I lend you my eyes. *throws eyes*

I own that one two dvd, one cd collection that contains Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, the Little Drummer Boy, and some other ones. I actually really like the series for its folklore. In particular, the movies about the origin of Santa Claus and Jack Frost, I appreciate. As for the music, I think "We're a Couple of Misfits" needs to be covered by an alternative rock act of some kind.

So yeah; good times. Don't think we taped them ever, but we watched them when they'd be on every year. Anyhoo...
