Gundam Wing

I remember when I was young, and in elementary school. I would rush home everyday to watch Dragon Ball Z, and Gundam Wing. It was one of my favorite shows for the longest time, and in fact I just watched it this morning. My favorite character was Quatre Rabarber Winner, he was quiet, and kind, but when he got inside Sandrock he was a total bad ass.

Who else enjoys themselves some Gundam Wing.

I loved watching Gundam Wing. That's one of the only shows with the word "Gundam" I ever watched in it's entirety. Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS team was the other one, but that series was far too short.

I wasn't really a fan of any of the Gundam pilots, but I loved the OZ Organization, especially Zechs Merquise...

That guy is still pretty awesome though.

My best friend in Junior High was a huge fan of the show as well, and one time we watched a whole marathon of Gundam Wing. It was the best day ever. She was a Quatre fan too.

Elementary School...I feel so old now. I remember trying to watch it on Toonami and being completely lost because I came in at like episode 7 when OZ does their coup de'tate and they throw out so many names and organizations that I couldn't keep it straight.

Fortunately, I just bought all of the DVDs and I was able to figure out what was going on. I used to marathon watch Gundam Wing when I was a little younger.

I've always had a preference for Wing Zero though and Heero. Though they really screwed up the design on Wing Zero Custom, angel wings cool and all, but it lost flight mode as a result. The flight mode was one of the cool things about Wing Zero and Wing Gundam.

My favorite is General Septim. Because the voice acting for that character was AMAZING. And also, when they killed him, they not only dropped him out of a plane, but Lady Unne also shot him in the head on the way down, lol. They had to make sure, I guess. I think he was only in episodes 6 and 7, but if you're watching the english dub, he will instantly become notable. "THIS IS HOW I TALK ALL THE TIME!! THIS IS ME BEING EXCITED, AND ME BEING SUBTLE! I CAN'T BE QUIET; I MUST HAVE SOME SORT OF DISORDER!!"

Seriously though, my favorite was always No Name (Trowa.) Mostly because he piloted Heavy Arms, which was my favorite Gundam. His sister was also a babe (as much as a cartoon character can be...) Really, I think that if I picked now, my favorite would probably be Duo, though. The classic smart ass.

A friend recently started watching this again. He loaned his DVD's to my roommate and I for us to watch. We only got to like episode 13 or so, however, because my roommate really wasn't interested in watching it again, apparently... Anyhoo...

Gundam Wing was one of the defining shows for me in anime. Sure, I had watched CardCaptor Sakura, the DragonBall series, etc., but Gundam Wing was one of the big factors that truly pushed me into anime by showing me that it could convey serious plots, highly-developed characters, and awesome action all in one. I was actually a fan of Zechs (though a small portion of that is probably because I thought the Epyon was an awesome Gundam), though I also tend to be drawn to the masked characters in other Gundam shows. Still, though, I really liked his story, and I always had a real soft spot for him.

To this day, Wing still remains my favourite incarnation of the Gundam franchise, though SEED did give it a run for its money. Gundam Wing still wins out in the end, though!

I was a big fan of this show when it had it's big uncut midnight run on Toonami. I was a big fan of Duo Maxwell, he seemed like a very complete character from the series overall but looking back I guess you could say that pretty much all of the man characters were except for maybe Trowa. Nevertheless though it was a great series overall and my favorite Gundam series, and probably my favorite mecha anime series, next to Voltron of course

Wufei, Duo and Trowa are what make Gundam Wing good.

Heero is cool and Quatre is meh but those 3 were the shit.

Yea I remember Toonami watching this, but I was more interested in Yu Yu Hakusho, because Hiei > All.

Probably the best anime ever! My friend insists that one of the crappier, newer Gundams is better. The best was trowa and heavy arms!
