[SSJ4 Goku]

Yeah, the latest I've heard is that the DBZ movie is still on. This was confirmed less than two months ago by Fox themselves. Taken from Anime News Network, here's the latest news I've seen (from June 25th):

Yesterday, Variety reported that Hollywood screenwriter Ben Ramsey has a half-million-dollar deal with 20th Century Fox to do the Dragonball Z adaptation.

According to Variety, the project is being overseen by Peter Kang, Fox's VP of production. Ben Ramsey penned the script for The Big Hit and Marvel's upcoming big screen adaptation of Luke Cage.

Kang's office confirmed to Anime News Network that the movie is a Fox project. They informed us that there is currently no projected release date.

Kana, I can see where you got that idea. A week or so before the above was printed, Kyle Hebert (a DBZ voice actor, as some may or may not know) had gotten in contact with Fox studios to ask about the movie and the person who was talking to him said something to the effect of, "Oh, I've never heard of that--I don't think we're doing that any more." He posted that on his website, so it made a lot of people believe that there wouldn't be a live-action movie, but as you can see above, Fox has since confirmed that one will be made.

Also, Shenlong, I, too am looking forward to Budokai 3, but which one is "Syn?" As far as the dub goes, I've only seen up to what's been shown on CN (a little ways into the Super 17 saga), so I'm not really current with the American names (>_<). The only one I know is that Ii Shenron is "Omega," though I think it would be quite cool if he was in it

Thats the same dragon that I'm talking about; Ii Shenlong is "Syn" Shenron. So yeah you can expect him on. These are the supposed "official" new characters, obiously there are more:

The story mode returns with a new build-up mode and three new modes, aside from the already present modes. One of them will be free-flight and will be as an adventure-like thing, I'm still not sure about that. There will be revamped graphics for particles and transformations as well as power ups. Along with the previous stages from B1 and B2 there will be 12 new stages full of things you can knock your opponent to.

"We weren't able to interview blue7eve but one of my friends, "Goku" went to the demo at Lake City, Colorado and reported with the following facts. However, I asked blue7eve to confirm some of this information and for the most part it was correct. Keep in mind that this is an interview so none of this was confirmed officially:

- Tapion is in it & his sword is his special item
- Android 13 has two forms
- Gameplay is totally different from Budokai 2
- Baby Vegeta is in it
- All forms of Buu and all forms of Cell are in it
- Bojack's screw may/may not be in it (uncertain)
- Tapion/Hildegarn is in it
- Goten can be played in teen and small form.
- Trunks has more than 3 outfits
- Multiple Ki blasts are combos (You cannot just press O)

First off, it appears the only dubbed name I thought I knew, I didn't...>_<. I think there is someone with the name Omega...unless I totally made that up. I suppose I should head over to the official GT site and check that out...meh...maybe later ¬_¬.

Anyway, the list of characters blows me away. I saw the pictures for (Super Saiyan) Gogeta and SSJ4 Goku on alternate GamePro covers, and they were quite impressive. The fact that Brolly's in it, along with the other SSJ4s and a slew of other cool characters (Tapion! Android 13!) just makes it all the more appealing. The character selection alone is making the game worth getting, let alone all the other added features. This may yet be the best DragonBall game released.

can somebody tell me what dragonball Z is about.Is guko Son -Guko as agrown-up.

Its just like Dragonball, it follows Goku on his adventures, though the fighting gets more intense. The power levels get more extreme and there are new characters that join the group. Lots of stuff happens.

Technicly everyone dies, so that would include Korin, but they aren't permenantly dead. Dragonballs, a wish, you get the picture. But yeah aliens is right, best to read it and find out what happens. Surprised to meet someone who hasn't seen even a bit of DBZ.

I live in a city were dragonball is very unpopuler and nerdie so its about only me and some friends who read it.Is Dragonball Z as funny as Dragonball.

ps.Here it comes out every month and if it sells when every nr is given out theyv promised to take Dragonball z and gt out on the marked to.But dragonball is on 42 numbers so its a long way to go.

It has its moments, but Dragonball is far more funnier than Dragonball Z. Dragonball Z is more action based than Dragonball is.

And considering that there like 200+ episodes you probably got a long read.

I've seen all of DBGT almost, minus the "Lost Episodes" which are really lost, just they were decided to be removed because they would boring for the viewers. DBGT is not done by Akira Torayama, and just plain bad.~~Andromeda the Kitty~~

Well Dragonball is finaly over. I know everyone has probaly seen all the episodes. But the last episode aired last Saturday on Cartoon network. It was good but I'm disapinted that it's over. I like GT and its a good anime. Well now its time to start saving and I'm going to finish buying the whole set of DBZ.

Well, the next few months will still bring some more "new" episodes to the States. After the real end of the series, CN is now showing "The Lost" GT episodes--the first 16 episodes or so that FUNi didn't originally release upon their licensing of GT. That being said, we'll still be getting a few more months of "new" DragonBall here, and, by the time those are done airing, I'm personally hoping CN decided to air the new dub FUNi's working on for the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, but so far nothing's been announced. All we can do now is sit and wait to see what happens.

I have a question. I hurd sometime ago that Gohan's wife dies and he goes SSJ4. He goes besurek and Goku won't kill him because it's his own son so Vegeta has to. Also I remeber hearing that Vegeta goes SSJ5. Are these true or just things that were made up?

Super Saiyan 5 is a myth, does not exist, though there is a fake picture of it around the net. DBGT is the end of the Dragonball Saga more or less. There might be some Manga, but considering how bad GT is, I doubt it.

I was reading about Dragonball on the net and I find out theyre making Dragonball V or something (dont remember the name) anybody now what that is.I read it was a sequel to Dragonbal GT.

The only official series are Dragonball/Z/GT; Dragonball AF, V, Slayer(one made by AT following the DB/Z/GT series but never was realized) are rumors or false attempts to make a series. AF and V are more Fan Fiction than anything.

I read in http://www.dbzgtlegacy.com, or someplace else that I can't remember, that Dragonball Z was going to come back. I don't know if they'll start with their already dubed Ocean adquisition (The first two seasons where the blood was black or none existent and when "die" meant "sending you to the next dimension" ) or if they be good people and gives us the uncut version. *hopes in vain*

Yes I have heard about the live action movie as well. I have a post here about it, and I heard it is a rumor as well. I will post If i find anything new. If you want you could check out dragonballz.com that may explain something about the movie. If you ask me I still have faith that it will be made..............Eventually. The movie would be just too cool not to make even if it is bad. A movie like this would probablly apply to Die hard fans only. Keep your fingers crossed.

On the Dragon Ball Z live action movie: I didn't exactly look around to see if "Dave_johnson287" made a thread about it and posted this info, but oh well. According to our friend... "rjxsapri®" (anyone care to pronounce that one for me?) fox owns the rights for the site "www.dragonballz-movie.com," and hired a guy named Ben Ramsey to write a script for the movie. If you don't know how to follow the link I posted up there, or something... Then, later in the thread, some guy posts a report I've seen around, that some guy called both Fox and ILM, and they told him that the movie wasn't being made anymore. "rjxsapri®" says that that person is not a credible source, however... Then there's speculation that the movie may come out in three years, if we're lucky Yay.

So, can anyone tell me if any of the Dragon Ball shows are still being aired on Cartoon Network, and if so, when? I remember at the beginning of this school year, I think, they were showing the uncut episodes of DBZ on week day nights at like 10:30. Maybe they're still doing that...

...I miss DBZ. Earlier this year, I found an old tape that had a bunch of episodes from the Majin Buu Saga, and the episode specifically where Goku went Super Saiyan 3 for the first time. I guess I thought that was a classic episode... I also remember that I have on some tape somewhere the fight between Cell and Gohan. I think that might be my favorite memory of the old show: Gohan kicking Cell's ass. "Why am I so... damaged?!!" Heh. Very eloquently worded, Cell.

There was also a tape I found that had both the tournament episodes between Jackie Chun *sp* (Master Roshi in disguise, obviously) and Tien. I never saw anything after Tien vs. Master Roshi, however... it would be cool to see Tien vs. Goku. Seeing those two episodes, however, was a lot of fun.

I used to always watch Dragonball/Dragonball Z. I thought it was a pretty good show. Funimation's version was pretty childish though but I used to like that when I was younger. My favourite character has to be Vegeta lol, he thinks he's the man. It's funny when Goku always ends up better than him and then he'll grumble on about it for ages. Goku is a cool character too, he's always stuffing his face with food.

Dragonball was a great series. It had great humor and it was always entertaining. Dragonball GT on the other hand...erm...I didn't really like that series. I thought it was boring. I didn't like the fact that they turned Goku back into a child again. Some of the episodes were okay but I got bored with it.

My favourite saga from Dragonball Z is probably....the Cell Tournament. I thought that was pretty cool. The ending was pretty awesome. I haven't been able to watch the Japanese version yet, I would really love to. Many people told me it's a lot better than the Funimation version.

I occasionally watch the Funimation version but it hasn't been on for ages. They had a marathon of it a few years ago but they hardly ever showed it after that.

Wow--when I received the e-mail telling me the thread "DragonBall Z" had new posts, I was amazed. You're right, Telegraph, this thread is ancient (as ancient as we are ). And we have to give ...I was going to say "Kana"...Raine a big round of applause for not pruning this aptly named "gold mine" ^_^

You know, it's funny: I looked at some of the older pages and, we were still discussing the live-action DBZ movie...and that was 2.5 years ago. Fox really needs to get on top of this thing, no?

And boy, that RP? Hearing you mention that brings back such memories. I wonder if I could find the link, hidden within the jumble of all my old e-mails, to that board we established for our RP. A few months ago, a random person sent me and instant message regarding my Brolly website, which I was shocked to discover still existed, so if that still exists, I'm sure that board we made should still be there...somewhere. But yeah. We were far too lazy with that -_-'. We tried designating others to help us in hopes that they'd negate our laziness, but all that accomplished was really just you, me, Kevin, and that handful of others discussing what we were going to do with that thing.

But with regards to DBZ, yeah; it's on at a pretty stupid time. I rarely catch it. I watched the Saiyan Saga when they were airing it, as I was feeling totally nostalgic for it and they hadn't aired it in years, but I started getting lazier and stuff. I'll still occasionally catch it, but your utterances of DragonBall made me realise how badly they need to bring back the original. It's so fun! I really think CN underestimates how entertaining the original DragonBall is, which is kind of upsetting.

Oh, memories! I thought for a moment "I should call him "Uncle Tom." I realise Telegraph pre-dates that name by a lot, as it was your original name, but...do remember that? I have a tendency to remember strange things like that. And how Raine's names were Shadow Stalker, Kana Mitsu, etc. And how "Shan'do Spike" was once "ssjx3_gogeta." Oh, wow...we're so totally old school it isn't even funny. Actually, what isn't even funny is how, despite the fact that, unlike some of the other older members, I've actually never left this place and I'm still most likely virtually unknown outside of the anime corner >_<. But that's no matter--we know how old school we are and that's all that counts
