I didn't think it was terrible. It wasn't good, either; it was pretty much okay. Not something that stuck in my head, until I saw this thread. I remember the politician was really ugly, which matched his personality... which is pretty much a stereotype, isn't it? And the police characters were pretty unmemorable.It looked... a lot like the video games. Entertaining and fun, but Capcom should probably stick to making video games. Anyhoo...

So is this thread about Resident Evil: Degeneration or the actress? I watched the movie (sort of) and I really didn't get into it. I will agree that Degeneration is a lot better than the live-action ones, especially Extinction. Yeah, I watched all three, and I think another one is coming out, right?
As for the actress, I have no idea who she is or what she's starred in.

The point of this thread is "lol, Claire's new design looks like Cobie Smulders" combined with "I watched RE Degeneration and it sucked bad".
But yes, I don't think Cobie Smulders did anything noteworthy besides How I Met your Mother. Doesn't matter though since that series is legen - wait for it - DARY!
As for Degeneration, the plot was beyond predictable and bad. I know, it's more or less the exact same thing in the games, but I'd had expected a bit better plot in a medium where gameplay isn't the main focus.
Leon sucked balls as usual, changing him from the average cop he was in RE 2 was a huge mistake.
I don't care if he was supposed to be Dante in the first place, he sucks at it and can't pull it off, especially not even remotely as good as Dante.
Leon just comes as as Mary Sue dropping ultra retarded one liners at 50 Hz.
Dante also drops somewhat brainless oneliners all the time, but they aren't as bad and the DMC series doesn't even try to be serious, while RE tries really hard.

The point is that Capcom first idea for DMC was supposed to be Leon from RE in his own spin off series.I wouldn't compare Leon with Dante in any way, not even in a negative one.

But they had planned to make Leon a super cool smartass dropping slick oneliners every other second right after he appeared in RE2.
And now he simply fails hard in comparison to his substitute.
