This cartoon is great. The music has improved since the first time I watched it. Kakashi is so cool. What I like in this cartoon is the humor and action. It's the best cartoon ever! In today's episode, Kakashi's students fight against Zambusa!

I love Naruto! I've only seen 153 episodes so I still have about fourty-eight or so episodes left to watch of this anime.

Well it has come on to our Television after Dragonball and I can say I am quite impressed so far. Currently we are up to the bit when he has to get those bells and he did his shadow clones jumping out of the water to attack only finding it was himself. I don't know if I will be watching it all the time on TV so I may just download it instead or wait for the DVDs. Also Naruto reminds me of my little brother except that whole "Believe it!" thing gets annoying though as Piro said, it was part of the dubbing.

I don't know japenese, sorry. so I have been watching the english episodes. It is my favorite anime, really. It's funny, and awesome at the same time. Cant wait till tommorow to see the next new one. although it may seem bad to enter a kid's site. cartoon network's website has a link to tonnami jetstream where you can watch the english episodes there. I have been using that to get caught up on the ones I missed.

I recently (well I guess a month or two ago) got into the anime. I started watching it when it came on like once a week on Cartoon Network, but got tired of that real quick. Lately I've been grinding it out on Youtube (the japanese subs, mind you). I'm at like episode 98 I guess? I think that's where I am. But yeah, I'm way into it. Can't stop.

Like it so much my friend and I are trying to start an RP based on it. (Which you should look into!!!)

i like naruto alot i haven't watched much of the series but i have read the books im on like chapter 108 and yes i have noticed(from the few episodes i have seen) that their are fillers i no that because i dont remember reading it.(duh)

when ever a new book comes out i go to the store and get i just cant wait to read more. matter a fact ive red what i have twice.

the story line is great the chrecters are great what more can i say.

I have always loved ninjas and when I heard about the show I jumped on it, instantly loving it. At first my favorite character was Sasuke because I like that strong, silent thing. But then Itachi... dude. Godly powerful and looks bad ass. What more could you want?

My favorite has to be Kakashi. I dunno man, I just loved him the minute I saw him. The whole one eye covered, covering up his face, teasing you like that.

Ok that was more sexual than I meant to make it. But I dunno, I just love how his regular eye is always halfway open, kinda like he's alwasy sleepy or disinterested.

Yeah I pretty much love everything about him. He's my hero. If I were gay and animated, he'd be my lover.

Spoiler: well you can kinda see them going that route, when they were foreshadowing the "Legendary Sannin" that were taught by the Sandaime. Each of them basically picked up a Ninja from Kakashi's unit and then begins training them..

I personally download them, because I've been watching Naruto for like a few years now, and it's waayyy ahead of where we're at in the States.. though i'm not sure where we are in the states anymore.. lol.. Chuunin exam still? hmm the torrents shouldn't take you too long to DL them.. as for English naruto? I think Youtube might have some, they have it in Japanese too.. so you can choose... but yeah I think youtube has them broken up into parts though, but it's faster than DL them since they're streamed, the only problem with that is that the quality isn't as high.

Well we only got it recently down here in NZ and they just got to the Death Forest. I was watching the dub (which is the USA I believe) and they are up to the bit with the toad. I may just watch the Subbed version but I find it annoying how people keep going "What the Japanese version... its sooo much better"... its just as bad as the one peice fans, I saw both versions and frankly I don't really care, but it is rather tedious having to read the subs plus the voices aren't THAT annoying.

I dunno what they will do after the exams but it will be interesting to see, seem as how Naruto has figured out how to get the extra Chakra which was powerful enough to wipe out the most strongest. But yeah, I guess I will have to wait.

OMG!! I love Naruto! I abso-freakin'-lutely love Kakashi and Orochimaru! They're both freakin' SEXY!!! And I love Sasuke and Itachi. Sasuke has duck butt hair!! And I love Gaara, he's sooo cool! I hate Gai so much that I love him! Oh, me and my two best friends play characters from the show. I'm Orochimaru; My friend Jamie is Jiraiya; and My other friend Cara is Tsunade. Basically where the three legendary sannin ninjas. Lord Kazekage of the wind village and Gaara's father is soo hot but he scares me. I love Kakashi and Orochimaru so much i would seriously do them! Either that or go up to them and depants them. Yes i would go up to Orochimaru and Kakashi and rip off their pants and run away, far away.

Now hold on! We OP fans have a LOT to complain about okay? There's a lot of stupid Naruto fans who like to think the English version of their precious show is as bad as OP. And yes I know, it doesn't make me sound any better. But let's compare:

Naruto:
+Solid dub with experienced actors and a good script
+Original music intact
+Very little cut and edited
+Uncut DVDs available


The only valid complaints I've seen in Naruto is Naruto's overusage of "Believe it!" (his translated "Dattebayo!" phrase). What a lot of crazy Narutards don't understand is their bias towards the Japanese voice actors automatically mean "Instant suckage" for the dub voices. Having preferance is one thing, but claiming the acting sucks just doesn't hold water.

The other thing is pronounciation, which I could understand as I was kind of annoyed by that in the Azumanga Daioh dub, however, it's NOT something to get worked up over.


Now One Piece, let's see

-Original symphonic music replaced with cheap synth
-Horrible puns, and yes I do mean HORRIBLE puns that had no place in the original script, that sound like they came from an old 60s action show.
-Lazy edits, the dub is full of them.
-Bad scripts. Now there a lot of crazy OP fans that like to bash the actors, but it's not entirely THEIR fault. Marc Diralison (aka Guts in Beserk, who better?) who does Zoro, really tries but they hand him some of the worst LINES possible. Plus he's a great guy if you meet in him person, and he'll sign autographs with "Zoro" instead of "Zolo"
-No Uncut DvDs. Yes unlike Naruto fans who should just shut up and buy their uncut DVDs, us OP fans don't have that luxary. Do you know how BAD I've wanted to own OP Movie 4 on DVD...
-CUT CUT CUT! Over half the series cut with retarded plot holes showing up later.

Now admittengly, when some people try to showcase the worst of OP's dub, even me, it's hard to find the best examples even this Youtube bit here, even *I* say to myself, "You know that's really not too bad" you really have to know what to look for. Now, if you want bad acting, listen to Dub Vivi. There has been NO WORSE voice acting in a recent Anime dub EVER. Not even Naruto

I just get pissed when people who think they're TRUE Anime fans bash dubs for shows like Bleach and Naruto (I've even argued with Piro about it) when they don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Oh thats completely understandable, just as I was watching it every single episode had somebody coming along stating how much better the Subbed is, and all honesty if I understood Japanese I would obviously prefer the original but its quite tedious trying to read and watch at the same time, plus I felt they did quite a good job of the Naruto dub, as the series goes on you don't hear "Believe it" as much so it is more of a catch phrase that's overdone in the begining. I actually find Sakura's shadow thing and going "Cha" to be more annoying though it doesn't bother me that much. I can see clearly they botched the One Peice dub but even if it wasn't so bad I would probably not be interested in it, I was reading a thread in another forum and it was just constantly bitching about the dub. But yeah the dub is watchable and they're making it out as it isn't... I will probably just get impatient and download the subbed version anyway. By the way when is each episode out? Monday night?

There are certain things about each version that I like or dislike. I mean, as far as the whole subbed/dubbed thing goes. I watched dubbed Naruto first, that's how I discovered it. Naturally the first thing to turn me off was "Believe it!" but after awhile you just tune that sort of thing out. Other than that though I didn't really have a problem with it. I started watching the subbed versions on YouTube cuz once a week on Toonami wasn't doing it for me. I really prefer Kakashi's English voice actor as opposed to his Japanese one, but I don't necessarily dislike one more than the other. However, I find Jiraiya's Japanese voice suits him MUCH more than his English one.

So yeah, I like em both and for different little reasons like those.

The only time I tend to get pissed about the whole subbed/dubbed thing is when I watch one show/movie and adopt a favorite quote or line from that version, then go and see that it's something completely different in the other version. I prefer the subbed FFVII: AC movie and the dubbed Trigun series for this reason. So I guess you could say it really just depends on which one I see first. I had to watch Hellsing in subtitles because I'd seen the OVA first in subtitles at AWA awhile back.

That kinda became more sub vs. dub there toward the end, but I said something about Naruto so I guess it's ok.

I have to agree with that statement. I live in england so they only ever play the edited version on TV. I also watch the japanese version on the internet. Compairing the two i think the japanese version it better as it doesn't miss out any bits and naruto seems are less anoying. It gets really annoying when Naruto says 'believe it!' over and over again on the english. He says it at the end of almost every sentence.

Like Kakashi, Sasuke, and a few others but Ochimaru(sp) sounds good on the Japanese version though I can't remember if he has been on the English dub, Sakura's voice is annoying on both versions.

I just flicked on the TV and they're going through the first 26 Episodes for the first time, I can tell they are trying to turn it into another DBZ but I just got annoyed so started watching the American Dub through the Chunin exams (I think they're still up to there) but it didn't get that far so I am now watching the fan subs, currently I am up to...

Spoiler: bit when Itachi Uchiha comes to the hidden leaf village looking for Naruto and Jiraiya go to that town to look for the women who is to become the Fifth Hokage.

I mean I am not that far into it yet but at least I am not stuck way back when they fight Zabuza or on the Chunin exams right

Give me a break. Perhaps my opinion is skewed because I've been a Naruto fan for a fairly long time, but that's just a 'grass is greener' approach. "Experienced actors" and "good script" don't cut it when the voices either pierce my ears or leave dull impressions. Like in any dub there are exceptions, but it's not exactly something I could listen to without effort and time. It's not simply that I prefer subbing, since I've been able to handle much of Cartoon Network's dubbing without conscious complaint. The direction and choice just seems off.

I honestly found little wrong with the One Piece dub. Do you want to know why?

Because I am not crazy about it. I am not sure what your stance on Naruto is, but there is probably some chance that you'd be jumping ship to subs if you really, really cared. But perhaps I'm wrong, knowing that your tolerance is much higher (or you prefer dubbing). Regardless, if you are bent on owning legal copies, then there are other, viable ways of going about it. Believe me, I know how it feels. I have to deal with the fact that series I adore are not and will probably never be released in the United States.

Good thing 4Kids has cancelled production of One Piece. Perhaps hope can live again!

The fact of the matter is that, whether or not the situation is as bad as One Piece, the Naruto dub is aimed at an 'all ages' audience, so a particular tone will be set. This was to be expected, so I am not outraged about it. That doesn't make the dub any better though. I still think the voices are for the most part uninspired. Many of those that aren't a bit too over the top (Naruto himself).

I admit that things can sound better to some when they cannot understand what is being said, but some voice acting just hurts regardless of language. No matter what language track I had Azumanga Daioh set on, I had to resist the raw and primal urge to ram my head through a wall. Even Naruto's subs carried a mental sting at times, but I feel the alternative is far, far worse.

For the english dubbed version in england, there upto something like episode 50, just after all the genin have fought each other for places in the third exam. Anyway as for the english voices, i like Kakashi, Sasuke and Orochimura's voices better in the english although the japanese are still good.

As for what episode i'm upto, i'm currently watching episode 137.
