Afro Samurai: Reserection

Well I have just finished watching the Afro Samurai Reserection series. I loved the show but at the same time I realised it was terribly violent.

I liked the story even though at times I could not follow to well with it. My favorite charecter was Jinno beacuse he was a bad guy but in the end he turned good, his death was tragic though....

So anyone else watch it?

I watched it about a month ago. I fell in love with the series because of how high the quality of the fighting scenes are even though it seems a little exaggerated and unrealistic. I don't particularly like the storyline though; not a lot of character development either.

It was pretty interesting to hear famous American actors such as Samuel L. Jackson and Lucy Lui voice act in an anime.

Afro Samurai: Resurrection fell short at the final confrontation. Sio's death was pretty lame and Jinno didn't put up a good fight against Afro's father.

well to give you a basic description from what I saw of it was: Afro samurai's (the protagonist) father was I suppose one of the greatest warriors of the world(Not to sure, I only saw like the last 4 episodes) and he had the #1 headband(the headbands were a symbole of how much a** you can kick).

Some how he died and Afro thought it was his friends so he went and killed them. One however survived and wanted revenge so she brought all of her friends back to life with some kinda science. She also brought back Afro's father so he could kill his son.(Cuz shes kinda twisted like that)

Afro went to fight his father and accually got killed but watching his death made his friend(and my favorite charecter) Jinno go into a rage and fight for Afro. Jinno died but that made his sister(the one who started all this mess) go and try to save him but she died as well. Some electrical spark off of jinnos mechanical body caused Afro to come back to life where he then killed Afro Sinior.

Thats Afro samurai in a nutshell but I only saw like the last couple of episodes I still liked it though.
Oh and By the way I did think Jinno could have put up a better fight.

i have not got to see much of it but what i have seen of it i love but the fight between afro and his father was epic i all i was think was run afro run your going to die man i was scared lol.......v.v um and the crazy girl that brought ever one back i thought she was fricking cool she was just so twisted my kind of girl lol but anyways i have been trying to find them all on youtube so i can watch them all and well ya know more about the crazy chick

All I can sum up from what I know of her is that she is Jinno's Sister and she was the only person Afro did not kill so she sought revenge and broght everyone back to life.

Other than that I dont know what started her crazyness.

Yeah everyone has the one charecter they just think is tottaly awsome.

For me(If you could not tell...) its Jinno.

Jinno fought to protect everyone but realised in the end somtimes you cant save everyone....poor jinno.

Ever recently I have been watching the old episodes from before Reserection and I liked some of those fights even more.

I have seen the fight between Jinno and Afro and liked it, although for once I would like to see Jinno win.

I saw the fight between Afro's father and Justice, that was simply Epic. Justice blocked afro seniors sword with two pistols! Justice strangly reminds me of the lead charcter from Darkwatch.
