    *CospLay/Anime Conventions*

Hey.. I just want to ask you guys, Is anyone here had attended previous cospLay convention or gatherings? Or.. experienced cospLaying or something..?

In my experience.. I'm just a beginner in cospLay worLd.. my first experience was fun! Though, I couLd see many weird peopLe around.. and so.. cospLaying my favourite character in one day is a happy feeLing.. aLso.. to those who haven't tried cospLaying yet.. do you want to try soon? And to those who had attended to some anime/cospLay con.. what's your experience there? :-)

ALso.. share your thoughts about cospLaying.. is it stupid or fun to do..? Based on your experience or knowLedge.. :-)

    Uuuh, a great thread. <3

I've been to quite a few conventions now, but not the typical conventions, but more book fairs. x3" There were quite a few cosplayers there. And I've been one of them for two times now. =D
My first impression was: Cosplayers are a group, not many single persons. I had the feeling of belonging to all the other cosplayers and they gave me that feeling. I mean, there were some I talked to on the train and there were some that talked to me out of the blue without even knowing me! ^^ That was great, I really enjoyed that. That's why I did it again.
I haven't cosplayed my favorite characters (they're all male XD), so I have only tried female characters. The costumes were quite easy to make, so it was no problem. x3

Next year I'll cosplay Rikku, because a friend of mine will cosplay Yuna. ^_^ I'm really excited about that! (Haven't started making the costum yet xD")

I've been to a two different anime cons: Nekocon and Katsucon. I've never cosplayed before, the lack of money and I like anime but not that much.

For those who do participate they seem to have a good time. It is cool to see some of your favourite characters there, especially the less popular ones. At Nekocon 2008 I saw, Al-Cid which was nice since VII-X are the more popular ones to cosplay. I did see a Locke Cole at Katsucon 2009 and I think Setzer was there as well.

If your cosplay is well-made and you resemble the character well photographers will take your pic. I know this girl who is "sought after" at cons for her cosplays are very exceptional.

I don't know if I'll ever cosplay cause it would mean I would most likely have to shave . I generally have a good time at the cons, though where Katsucon was held this year was horrible; it took a little from the overall experience

i ever attended many cosplay events here, in Indonesia. I thought cosplaying is great! i really wants to try it!
i have a friend, he is a cosplayer, and i ask him to help me to make my first costume. i designed it myself, it's theme is Gothic-Lolita.
i hope i can make it soon, so i can attend a cosplay event as a participant of the event..
