New Final Fantasy XV Trailer (Subbed)

Square Enix brought a new trailer of the latest Final Fantasy to TGS. The new trailer has been provide with English subtitles can features completely unseen footage from the game. As mentioned in an earlier interview, it was said that FFXV was more like a road trip. The new trailer definitely seems to give that feel as half of it is spent with them on the road in a car, on the run likely from those that attack their home.

Anyone want to rip this one apart and see what we can find?

So far: the game's traversal appears to be the sword throw. Looks like open world with car replacing airship its odd to realize that much of what made the original games special was that exact over world traversal which now looks like a car. Possibilities: it might be 4 player online co-op, all 4 characters have made it through each trailer with perhaps the original trailer which showcased solo gameplay is say a prolonged tutorial in the game's mechanics. Weapons materialize out of air. Missing: the bars from the first trailer. Not sure if the staggering Noctis being helped by friends is a co-op revive also seems to have buddy up moves i.e. Characters able to slide over each other. The world building is not as notable as previous FFs, but still hyped to play this.

It's still a single player game I'm quite certain. You're just seeing the AI giving assistance, we've seen it in other trailers of combat. The AI will come to your aid and help you with enemies. So it is probably more accurate to say that the AI will provide a greater sense that the party members with you are more like your friends and help out when things get bad. Also should note that Noctis staggered while at low HP. So they plan to have more animations and things that affect your play of the game.

FF games have had an Open World just not the way people pertain "Open World" these days. I feel this is just them bringing FF to the open world.

There will be an airship. This was confirmed in an interview sometime in the past 2 years. The car is the 'chocobo' of the game. The airship will traverse the world map just as you can with the car.

There will likely still be chocobos to ride. FFVII and FFVIII had cars you could drive, but also chocobos. It just may be that the car will be a little more emphasized for the sake of the story.

They would look rather silly riding Chocobos in those outfits, but hey I'm open to it.

Can't be any sillier than some of the other outfits. They're may be more suit types rather than the colorful ones that we're used to, but it's not going to be that strange. It's FF though, they'll have chocobos.

BL had numbers come up as well when hitting an enemy. I only meant in that aspect. Weird comparison, I know.

Especially since every FF game does that same thing. Since it is from the KH team, it's more likely to be better compared to Kingdom Hearts, both are action RPGs.

Well gfx wise it looks pretty amazing. Don't know if I like it being arpg though. I bet you could implement a tactical battle system in it as well for all your automated party members and it would be interesting but it would still feel alien to me.
