Significant edits: Finally named the shop master with the help of my friend. Said friend is now the first person to know I'm writing this whom I know IRL.
I definitely like where the story is going now. I can't wait to get to certain parts, and sometimes I want to just skip right to them and cut to writing, but I know this sort of backstory makes it all better.
