Everyone has a song that they connect to. Ones that they feel connect directly to their selves. Like myself I am sure there many people who can relate to many songs. I want to know what some of yours are. What's the story behind them? How do certain ones affect you?

I loved this song growning up, never experianced it until recently. The woman I am with informed me that she has to go home which is states away, not getting to much more into detail but the feeling can be felt reguardless of full details.

I've been searching for a song most of the night. Trying to at least find one that can bring me out of a depressing mood anyway. This seemed to do the trick.



I have been feeling lonely for the last little while, however, this song makes me feel better about it, and the bed really is warmer when I'm alone. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This is true for men and women, boys and girls...fathers and mothers. (trying to prove a point). Kelly write this song for not only herself, but for everyone else who needs a pick-me-up after a life event I guess. She's an inspiring lady anyway. This song makes me feel better no matter what. It just takes me a long time to figure that out because it's buried underneath a big mix of songs.

I grew up loving this song and I still love it as an adult and it is how I have lived my life thus far. I think a lot of adults need to stop and listen to this song it's okay to be serious but you don't have to be serious all the time.
As I say you cross the bridge when you get to it.

This is my anthem.

Also anything by Abba and Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush. My Heart Will Go On is a song that gets associated with me a lot by family because I used to sing it on karaoke when I was little. There are like 10 different home videos of me singing that song including one in a pub in Spain where there were a lot of people I didn't know.

Most of my songs come from K-Pop, allthough I do listen to songs in English as well. But my song for the past few months is by a korean band, FT Island. A song called "Like the Birds"

The main reasons why I loved it was because his song portrayed the person wanting to become free like a bird, which at the time I first listened felt really connected.
The group remade this song into their own version with rap, guitar, and vocal solos, which is another reasons I loved it.

This song is so ... emotional ... All the sentences begin by " I dream about ... ". The singer now is dead because of his disease and through this song he tried to share his hope. He dreamed ( before his dead )that one day doctors would find a cure about what he had ... now, after years of researching, people aren't sick like he was and are treated I don't know very well his life because I was never fond of him but his story is like his songs : emotional ! He is right, everybody wants to change what they dislike and what they think " is bad ". I prefer rock but some songs like this which have a meaning are amazing :]
People hope and dream about things that they would love to change ... the biggest challenge is to fulfill them

This. Yeah, maybe it's a little dated now, but it still resonates with me. The lyrics are taken directly from my favorite book, and the music is very pretty. And it's a metaphor for life. Life continues on. Sometimes it goes somewhere sunny, other times it goes caves where sun has never shown. Also, it is very nostalgic. I was reminded of it as I finish reading Return of the King, with all its numerous endings, heh... Anyhoo...

I remember this song from my childhood. We used to sing it a lot in the car. Makes me smile.

In the Middle - Theory of a Deadman

Always been my favourite Theory song, and he sang it to me once (well, tried to ) over the phone when I was upset. Surprised me completely. I didn't even know he'd looked my favourite band up haha.

This one is definitely special to me because this is the first song I heard that made me earn enough money through chores around the house to buy the album.

I remember first seeing this on MTV when they played music instead of teen mom and immediately felt the urge to buy it then.

This song could be at the eye of my emotions enraged like a tornado and it would still bring me to ease. I literally shead a tear when I heard this song (fairy tail's version) so it stuck to me before I could understand the words . Yeah but, if your feeling so down and unloved, I promise to you that this song will pick you right back up guys.

Cynic - Carbon-based Anatomy

This is my go-to chill out song. It just has such a relaxing vibe for a song with so much going on. I'm just drawn to it in so many ways. The drum beat is hypnotizing, the guitar work and vocals are so calm (at least until about 4 or so minutes in). I love this damn song.

And then, on the opposite end of the spectrum

Anaal Nathrakh - Between Shit and Piss We Are Born

This is my go-to "I'm going to smash your f*cking skull in" song. This song just follows a Mitt Romney commercial so well.
