Type-o-Negative

Alright people, here's one.

So what do you think about this one? I personally only listen to like 2 of their songs, but you know what? They're other stuff really isn't that bad.

So far while exposing people to this they just jot me down as some emo-vampire and that bothers me.

Just curious to find, does anyone other than me actually listen to them?
For those who don't, Type O Negative is a dark, heavy based rock group that plays ridiculously long songs with very seggestive themes. (Pretty accurate if I do say so myself)

So anyone?

I love Type O Negative, have done for years. You could say that they were the first really heavy band I ever got into. I got into them several years ago after hearing 'I Don't Wanna Be Me' on TV, and loved them ever since.

Also I was really saddened when I heard Peter Steele died last year, because he was the guy who got me into heavy music. And for that, thank you Peter Steele.

They are probably the gloomiest band I've ever heard, but they are great because of that.

I love Type O Negative. I love how their songs are so ridiculously long, yet you can still blare it for hours on end and never get bored with them.

My Girlfriend's Girlfriend, and Christian Woman are my favorite songs haha.

Alright! Finally, I'm not the only person who listens.

ZantetsukeN reminded me, I do also like I Don't Wana Be. I just haven't herd it in forever.

I had no idea that he died! That sucks hardcore...
and yeah, Christain Woman rocks!

Gloomiest band ever...understatement.

Loved You to Death is an epic song. It fills my eyes with tears every time I listen to it because it reminds me of my mistress.

'Tis a shame about Peter Steele though, he was an inspiration to many, as is Type O. Truly unique band.

I used to listen to them quite a bit, kinda gone away from listening to heavy goth/trash metal in my old age. But still throw on some of their songs from time to time, my favourite being:

The only song I know by them is "I Don't Want to Be Me," which I thought was pretty catchy. I like this one that nix linked, though. It sounds a little 90's punk, actually. At least that part track was. And then that last part again, haha.That stuff in between, I'm not as sure about how I feel, but still, interesting...

I could probably get into them, although I've been trying to find newer music to listen to lately, and they haven't had a new album since '07, eh? Not that that is the absolute rule for me or anything. Anyhoo...
