Sabin's pic quality edits

Started messing around with gimp and wanted to do some neat high quality stuff with different video game photos and other stuff. I would like to share what I have so far, here is my first few entries.

This is a totally different thing that i'm doing, but i'm going to post it in this thread just to be on the safe side. I started practicing some drawing and I am currently learning how to draw Mega Man (classic). This is what I have so far if you are interested in checking it out.

you're doing good! I've been working with Photoshop a lot, and am working on how to do general photo enhancement editing.

How do you enhance photos like that? I have PS also. What tools do you use?

This doesn't work with every photo but you first want to duplicate the layer, select the duplicate, go to your blur settings and look for Gaussian blur, blur the layer about 8px, and then on the layer options choose overlay for the duplicate layer and that will enhance the image quality like these pictures I uploaded. It doesn't work for every images because some of them may require other steps which you can search online help for.
