Sony and Insomniac Games have teamed up with indie production company Blockade Entertainment and animation studio Rainmaker Entertainment to produce a Ratchet & Clank animated theatrical feature film due out in 2015.
A teaser trailer for the movie features Ratchet, Clank, and Captain Qwark on the set, with Qwark demanding more dubstep and CG explosions.
In celebration of the announcement, all Ratchet & Clank games will be on sale on PlayStation Network during the week of April 30.

One time I owned a Ratchet and Clank game, but I didn't get much further than like the first level. Think it had like a battle arena type theme. Didn't amuse me. Maybe a movie, I could do, because all I'd have to do is sit and watch. Anyhoo...

Should be interesting, I loved the first 3 games and the two future games but I was never a fan of All 4 One and Q-Force then found out they joined with EA which manages to ruin everything they touch. The stories should still be good so this might work well. Now if only we could get a new Jak & Daxter game similar to the first, this generation lacks good 3D Platformers.
I used to play the shit out of the Ratchet & Clank games. Am very excited about this game.

The trailer looks great I can't wait to see this. I'm glad the characters look identical to the games (although I prefer the more cartoony PS2 designs)

I hoped Dr.Nefarious would be the villain, but it turns out the movie will be based around the first game. Here's hoping it becomes a trilogy.
