I agree I missed this weeks episode though!!!! Only a few more to the end of the first book right?
Anyways it is definitely a different flavor than the first avatar but sometimes the first shines through.
So good guys. SO GOOD. It's sort of sad to see the types of bending and chi blocking that were so special in the first series being used by everyone and their mom in the second one, but it's still awesome. Korra should forget Mako and totally get with Bolin. But since that won't happen, I am hoping for some smexy Amon x Bolin.

EBG
Yeah. They cliff hanged hard, and the one-hour season finale is next week. If the previous Avatar series has taught us anything, it's that this season is definitely going to leave us hanging as well.

I haven't kept up with this at all.
Kind of sad actually.
Time to hit up iTunes.
It'd be dumb if Asami did that at this point, but for some reason I can see it happening. I sort of like Mako x Asami now, though. There are so many other (better) people that Korra can get with. OMG DODIE DID YOU SEE IROH?
And guys you have to watch this shit. Oh man. Do what you gotta do to see it.

Spoiler: I think it may be spirit bending. Since it isn't elemental bending, he can pass it off as chi blocking. The creators seem to be keep a balance of power between hero and villain by giving them either a big army or extraordinary abilities. Like the mob guy from 40 years ago... man had mad bloodbending. Same with Tarlok.
That said, if it is spirit bending, Korra will be able to reverse it at some point once she taps into her Avatarz.
But Lin.
Spoiler: It's funny how losing bending is basically like an execution in this show.
We'll see her again, I'm sure~ When she gets with Bolin.

Amon is a scary dude. I guess he is telling the truth about his origins if your first spoiler box is true. Wonder what spirit decided to grant him that ability though... Most think it's Koe (the face stealer from the first series) since he had a vendetta against avatars, and we haven't seen him since he said "We'll meet again".
Speaking of Lin/Bolin... Saw this on FunnyJunk a couple days ago, and made me lol:

I think it's because Bolin goes so well with everybody... And if they're older than him, he's like the ultimate bottom.
Didn't think that anyone in particular had granted him that ability... I thought he just said that to rile up the crowd. But now that you mention Koh and Amon's mask (and possible lack of face), it makes sense. Koh stole the wife-to-be of the previous water bending avatar, and he did say to Aang he would return. Maybe Amon made a deal with him in exchange for his face and became the spirit-bending Terminator that he is today. =P

Spoiler: Anybody else see the season finale?! I so jumped out of my seat and cheered when Korra and Lin got their bending back!

I saw the season finale. I'm sorta wondering where they're going to take this from here on out. If they want to do anything good with it, they're going to need at least two more seasons, otherwise the next arc is going to be short-lived at best. There were some great parts, but I was sort of disappointed at others...
Spoiler: With Amon gone, I'm wondering what they're going to do next. If he doesn't miraculously survive and they introduce a new villain, I dunno how they're going to top him... he was already pretty bad ass. In general, the way they ended and resolved everything, while nice at parts, was really abrupt. Like Korra getting her bending back within the last 3 minutes of the ep... you'd think they would have saved that for the next season, at least. There's no tension whatsoever, haha.
I just hope it isn't a drama fest between her and Mako throughout the whole thing. Though I think Korra should wind up with someone else anyway. Also, I want to see more Boomie.

*Who is Lin's father?
*Did Sokka have any kids?
*Who did Zuko marry?
*etc.
Now I understand that maybe The Promise(Part I and Part II) may answer these questions, but I haven't picked up The Promise Part I and I do believe that The Promise Part II hasn't been released?
Anyway,I thought the finale was good and I liked it. It felt more like a series finale instead of a season finale. A bit rushed at moments, but at least everything turned out for the best, right?

Finale was awesome. Was kind of hoping that there was at least a little truth toSPOILER!!:
Now that this is over, I don't know what to do with myself... Need to find another something to watch to keep me occupied until the next season starts.

There's a lot that the creators can do from here on out. I'm hoping that they will get to explore the world outside Republic City and add more of the mysticism A:TLA had. Not only that, but also flesh out the characters too. I felt bad for Bolin and Asami because they got treated like crap. Mako kissed Korra, who Bolin had a crush for, and cheated on Asami. Why is douchebag Mako such a dumbass?
SPOILER!!:
I didn't know The Promise existed...!
Mako IS a bitch. Oh man. Was raging so hard throughout the series at him. Hopefully Korra winds up with someone cooler... but what are the chances of that.
