I recently read almost ten volumes of Tsubasa Chronicle. I have to say that it is getting a lot more interesting than it was in the first half of the series. I can't wait to finish up the series. I'm still wondering how it will end.
There are also some random shoujo manga that I'm reading. They are usually pretty short and can have an interesting story. ;! A lot of times I don't feel like reading 10 volumes of a shounen manga with what seems like little to no plot progression. <_<
Reading :
Inubaka (Love those dogs)
Fairy Tail (Love those guys)
Battle Angel Alita (Bloody but it is truly a cyberpunk jewel)
Team Medical Dragon (Even bloodier but it is better than ER,and more serious)
Oh also add Full Metal Alchemist and Billy Bat from time to time :P
Right now I'm trying to read as much manga as I can, I'm starting with short ones, 10 - 15 chapters max, there's no much to it, though some made me laugh every now and then. The first one I read was "7th Period is a Secret", there wasn't much going on, 3 chapters were obviously not enough to make story more complex and appealing. It was a classic forbidden love story, really boring I must say.
The next one is "AAA", a comedy romance with not much comedy, though there were few scenes that made me laugh, and that delinquent school reminded me a lot of my highscholl. And the last one I read was "AOI Destruction", the first three chapters were rather bizarre, though funny I must admit. After that, author takes completely different approach, every chapter was a new story with new characters, the only chapter I liked was the fifth one, the story was really deep for 30-40 pages.
Just got the omnibus volume of Azumanga Daioh in and some Black Jack.
Damn you Black Jack for being dear but you do look awesome on my shelf.
Nicked some Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei off a friend too.
What manga or manga-style comic novel have you read recently?
I have recently (About a week or two ago) been reading One piece.
I knew about One Piece quite a while ago, way back when i was nine from the anime that was on every saturday. My friend was reading One Piecce, so i decided to start reading the manga from chapter 1.
I started there and got up to chapter 100, but then i joined TFF and have'nt been reading it since. . .I'm going to get around to it sometime, but i'm not sure when that'll be.
Hopefully sooner, than later
Still reading the short managa's, this time I had better luck at choosing as I stumbled on few interesting ones, well, at least more interesting than the ones I read last time. The first one was uber short but not bad I must say, "Apple" certainly has potential for something bigger, at least more than one chapter. I also read "Cristo", has a quite good story going through four chapters, though fast paced at some moments.
Last but not least, "Badminton Girl", one of the best manga I read so far. Everything about it is so simple, yet well done and furthermore interesting. The story's pretty much straightforward, though quite good I must say. Characters don't have much depth, but their appearance and behavior makes them more than appealing.
Currently I'm reading a few different series': First and foremost, Fushigi Yuugi. I love this manga, it's got a really gripping plot, amazing art and it even made me shed a tear which rather difficult to do xD I'm also reading some .Hack//Legend of the Twilight and Tokyo Mew Mew. TMM is insanely cute and I love the costumes they wear.
i just bought and read mar vol 1, bleach vol 1, and black cat vol 1 and i found my most favorite manga black cat! it is reeeaaaallllly good! i love it!!

I'm very slowly reading Magic Knight Rayearth in the original Japanese. I got a bunch of original Japanese manga from a friend wishing to lighten a load for a move. So I told them and Magic Knight Rayearth was easiest. I don't actually understand Japanese, but I can read Japanese, hiragana anyway which is what it's written mostly in with hiragana for the kanji as well. So it a practice for remembering and retaining hiragana for me. Eventually I'll be able to understand it as well.
After re watching a lot of the Dragonball Z episodes online I decided to pick up the Mangas again and read through them so I'm starting again in the beginning of the Andriod Saga and gonna read from there.
Im slowly getting new chapters of the manga called Nononono by Okamoto Lynn, the aouthor of Elfien Lied.
I'm interested to see how the ending turns out.
I'm currently reading the Fate Stay Night manga
I've been reading alot of "Switch". It's a story about undercover narcotics agents in japan.
I am currently reading 'The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-Chan'. It awesome! It's different from the light novel/anime because the characters are different, for example Yuki has ditched the silent reading type and is now an otaku and Mikuru went from moe girl to a sheep (yes a sheep), and now it's in 4-panal shorts. It really is good, and since I am a huge Haruhi fan, I think it is a must for any follower of Haruhiism
I finished volume 7 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya since it's currently in the talking points. I noticed at the bookstore that they did have the Haruhi-chan manga and flipped through it quickly and put it back. They also have the light novels out as well, which is nice to see. I may end up checking them out at some time. But I'm sticking with the main manga at this point, which is finally up to the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until volume 8 comes out to finish the arc since it only got through 3 chapters of it. It is probably the most interesting part of the series so far since the first couple of volumes.
Still got to work through finishing the original Japanese of Magical Knight Rayearth.
I am halfway through 'The Qwaser of Stigmata volume 1', and it is definitely a weird one. I read a review of it in NEO magazine, and thought I should read it since it's one of the most controversial mangas ever released in English. It is classed as an 'Explicit Fanservice' manga. It has some, ehem, strange plot devices (which I'm not going to delve too far into, look it up if you're curious). All in all, one to check out if you can.
Anybody read Peace Maker here? I'm just starting on it.
This week I'm reading Kimi ni Todoke 6, as well as finishing off the first Cross Game omnibus from Viz (covering volumes 1-3).
Currently reading Fairy Tail and Naruto..
I'm reading two at the moment. First is Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee volume 1. I have seen a few episodes of the anime, so I thought I would get the manga. It's quite hartwarming and cool at the same time. Definitely one I would recommend.
I'm also in the process of reading Vampire Knight volume 11. I am a huge fan of the VK manga (not so much the anime), and I will always recommend it to any reader.
the recent manga I've read is a series called 'Captive Hearts' by Matsuri Hino.
It's a Japanese Manga about a carefree gentleman living a life of luxury...until a girl named Suzuka Kogami walked into his life. The next thing he knows he's falling down at her feet and acting like a servent to her. The series is a great romanic comedy of their adventure to China to break a curse. What does this curse has to do with the gentleman named Megumi and Suzuka? Well...I'm not going to tell you, you'll have to read it to find out.
This series is made of 5 books, and each was as funny as the last. There's a lot of twists, adventure and creativity in the series and it will not let you go until you finished the last book. Matsuri Hino is also the author of Vampire Knight.
I'm currently looking for a great series to read.
I just finished reading Hikaru No Go in about 2 days which was an amazing manga, although I didn't quite agree with the way it ended. It was still pretty good, but I just kinda expected more from it.
I also just finished reading Baccano! for now, think their still making new chapters, but so far I like it, everyone is pretty evil lol.
I also just started to read the rest of Gantz, which started off amazing, but now Kurono goes up and down in spurts of being awesome to being a pansy. A couple chapters, I'm like "damn he's awesome", then the next few chapters I'm like, "what a pansy", give me back the original character. Although someone I remember talking to was saying how at the beginning they hated him because of the way he acted, and that later on in the Manga, he becomes a likeable character. This is how I knew later on, I wasn't going to like him, I loved him in the beginning, but now he's just pissing me off chapter after chapter after chapter. I still have some hopes for him, but not much though.
Still reading Naruto and Fairy Tail whenever they come out with a new chapter.
Alice 19th
Kingdom Hearts chain of memories.
Libary wars
Fruits basket
