    Christmas movies

Since the christmas related threads seem to be popping up, I thought now would be a good oppurtunity to bring this up. Do you have a particular movie that you watch every christmas as a tradition, and if you do, what is it and why?

My christmas movie is..............Die Hard! For the past 7 or 8 years, I have watched on the night of christmas eve, cos I am too busy on christmas day. It is one of my favourite movies, and it just happens to be set on christmas eve, so there is a festive feel to it. Nothing to get you in the festive mood like terrorists being dispatched ruthlessly....

    Re: Christmas movies

I really dislike Christmas films in general.

I liked 'Home Alone' the first time I saw it, but it seems that all Christmas films seem to have the same message. The message is obviously a good message but there are too many of the same films with the same plots. They're just too similar to me.

Also at Christmas time, one of the only movie channels that we get through cable changes from 'Movies24' to 'Christmas24', and shows Christmas movies all day, for about a month before and after Christmas. My sisters love this channel which could be why I'm detesting Christmas films having seen so many in recent weeks.

    Re: Christmas movies

There's nothing interesting on TV on Christmas, same old movies every single year. I swear, if I see Home Alone one more time I'm gonna shoot myself. As for the movie I associate my Christmas with, I guess it would have to be The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. Strange I know, but I've seen this movie several times on Christmas and it's my favorite one in LOTR trilogy.

Said it before; say it again. Die Hard, Gremlins and A Christmas Carol(George C Scott or Patrick Stewart, no Jim Carrey).

    Look Who's Talking Now

Kirstie Alley is one of my favourite actresses (especially in the previous two Look Who's Talking(s))

Also, because in this one, the kid that plays Mikey (David Gallacher) is also the guy who did ALL the voice-overs of Riku in every Kingdom Hearts game
    Favourite Lyric For Now:

Bad santa is my favourite Christmas movie. This is one of the best Christmas movie of all times. The casting is brilliant, and the chemistry between all the characters is very much present.I've watched this movie twice already this Christmas season, and I loved every minute of it.

    Re: Christmas movies

    There's a few that I watch, I can't pick just one. XD

Nightmare Before Christmas, the Year Without a Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty the Snowman are all on my 'to watch' list. I know, I'm like twenty-one going on ten, but they're all classics and I still thoroughly enjoy watching them.

I also recently found out that a Nightmare Before Christmas was made in 1993; that mind****ed the hell out of me.

    Re: Christmas movies

My favorite will always be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's just so goddamn funny while not getting too lost in hokey messages. Not to mention it's really quotable too.

If I had to pick a few others, I"d go with the original Santa Clause with Tim Allen, and A Charlie Brown Christmas for nostalgic value.
