Rogue and Ninja Jobs Confirmed for Patch 2.4

Yoshida has finally revealed the first of the two new classes coming, teased earlier as a Dagger class and a Gun class. The Rogue and Ninja jobs will be the two branching jobs like with Scholar and Summoner off Arcanist. The class name is not known yet, but for Final Fantasy fans knowing the Ninja is coming should make people happy. The Rogue is the Thief job and even looks very similar to the FFXI AF Thief.

Both jobs will dual wield weapons, but it'll be like Monk where their weapons come as a pair. It won't be like FFXI where you can select different weapons to wield. The Rogue will have some poison or enfeeblement attacks, mentioned in the stream. And the Ninja will have Ninjutsu and hand weaving, which was described as something that will be manually entered by the player so it is possible to fail. Best guess, is that there will be skill unlocks for the hand weaving and it'll be treated like skills that are put on the hotbar and then you hit them in whatever order you want. The right order you make a spell/attack the wrong order you fail. It's going to be very interesting actually having to weave your signs for spells.

Both are confirmed to be Damage Dealing classes.
