Patch 2.2 Trailer and Website are Live

As promised by Yoshida, a trailer for all of the new content to be found in latest upcoming patch for FFXIV was released today. Coming in at eight minutes, it goes into details on many of the unseen or limited previewed content such as dungeons and new coil. There should be a little bit of everything in it for fans of the game as well as the series. Just to leave the surprise to your watching, I'll leave the rest after the video in a spoiler tab.

Spoiler: One of the biggest things for FF fans should be Diabolos' appearance, which in their sneak peek before looked very much like FFVIII's version and now that the video is out on the fight, it is very clear that he is very similar to the FFVIII version with his attacks looking very familiar. A wait until the end give FFV and general FF fans something big, Battle on Big Bridge with Gilgamesh. And seems very likely that Nael van Darnus from FFXIV 1.0 is returning.

Retainer ventures received more of a preview giving a better idea of how they will work with them having levels and times. It also looks like they have allowances like leves, so they can't be run all day. The gardening patch looks to fit in with the lawn of the houses with eight spots to plant.
