Earlier this morning, the latest LIVE Letter aired answering many general topic questions ranging from job changes, the Eternal Bond system, crafting, expansion and more. Follow the link at the bottom if you wish to read all of the questions and answers.

• Patch 2.45 will release on Dec 9th
• Dragoon will be getting a buff in 2.45
  
  • Changes to some timers
  • Decreasing damage taken during Blood for Blood
  • Increasing DoT potency
  • Altering the angle of attack for position dependent moves
  
  
• Ninjas will be getting a nerf in 2.45
  
  • There will be some decreases to the potency of skills
  • Increase in TP cost
  • Additionally, noted that they had a planned rotation for Ninja that the community managed to exceed, thus the nerf
  
  
• Job specific tier 3 Limit breaks coming in 3.0
  
  • A new Dragoon Limit break being created
  • Bard will no longer use healing limit break
  
  
• There is a plan to introduce mid-tier raid options between Crystal Tower and Coil
  
  • It's referred to temporarily as "Free Company Craft"
  • Will have Normal and Hard Mode raids in the future
  
  
• Relic related FATEs spawn timing is being looked into to improve their spawn rate
• A solo dungeon option is being worked out where players will queue with Grand Company NPCs and possible level them up
• A new rules for Frontlines are coming in 2.5
• More crafting gear will be added to make it easier to reach the upper tiers
  
  • However, they still want to the best gear to require time and effort to obtain
  
  
• Future crafting recipes will require less demimateria
• Looking into ways to make the i90 myth gear more available to new players
• Add-ons and API work still coming
• Directx 11 is coming for 3.0
  
  • Tokyo Fan Fest will have DirectX 9 and 11 running side by side.
  • New benchmark will be released prior to 3.0 release
  
  
• Mac port will be coming in March or April 2015
• Looking to adjustments on cost for items bought from Ixal Beast Tribe
• No housing in Ishgard at start 3.0, maybe later
• Free Company Alliance system being worked on for post-3.0
• Free upgrade from PS3 to PS4 will be extend until March 31th, 2015
• Free trial of game will be available on PS3 and PS4 for PS Plus members starting Dec 11th and all users Dec 24th

    • There will be a free service for all
    • There will be a premium service available that comes with a different dress, mount and minion
    
    
  • Special hair style comes with it
  • After sign up on Mogstation, a quest unlocks in game
    
    • Quest grants the attire and in-game items
    • Choose type of ceremony
    • Can have a moogle preside
    • And send out invitations
