    Getting Started

Few tips that I picked up talking to people who played and beta and things I learned for myself.

You get 8 guildleve's per 48 hours, make sure to group with others so you don't run out of these. You get exp. and loot off of others guildleve's as long as you group with them.

Play atleast one DoW/M, DoL, and DoH. Something to do with exp. Not sure how the whole thing works yet.

Alch. is the easiest DoH to level at the begining. Just buy "Muddy Water" an.d purify it.

Use class Macro's to change class's. There are guide's all over the internet.

Tedious battle sequences you find yourself doing over and over again can be made into easy macro's.

Mac: All right, how about Cat Game?
Foster: Cat Game? What's the record?
Mac: Thorny did six, but I think you can do ten.
    Foster: Ten? Starting right meow?
[They go up to the car.]
    Driver: Sorry about the...
Foster: All right meow. Hand over your license and registration.
[The man gives him his license.]
Foster: Your registration? Hurry up meow.
    Driver: [laughing] Sorry.
Foster: Is there something funny here boy?
    Driver: Oh, no.
Foster: Then why you laughing, Mister... Larry Johnson?
    [Foster stares at him.]
Foster: All right meow, where were we?
Driver: Excuse me, are you saying meow?
    Foster: Am I saying meow?
    Driver: I thought...
Foster: Don't think boy. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
    [The man laughs.]
Foster: Meow. What is so damn funny?
Driver: I could have sworn you said meow.
Foster: Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly-bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer? DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE?
    [The man is uncontrollably laughing.]
Foster: You stop laughing right meow!
Driver: [Stops and swallows hard.] Yes sir.
Foster: Meow, I'm gonna have to give you a ticket on this one. No buts meow. It's the law.
[Rips off the ticket and hands it to the man.]
Foster: Not so funny meow, is it?
[Foster gets up to leave, but Mac shakes his hands at him, indicating only nine meows.]
    Foster: Meow!

    Re: Getting Started

    DoW = Discpline of War
    DoM = Discpline of Magic
DoL = Discpline of Land = gathering
DoH = Discpline of Hand = crafting

When you start playing you have 2 leveling systems going on at the same time. You have a Rank of your class/job which you get skill points to level, and a Physical level which you get experience to level.

Gaining a class rank gives you abilities and skill points, each ability cost so many skill points to put on your bar. For example I'm a rank 1 archer with 3 skill points, I have Puncture a special skill that cost 3 skill points to equip it to my action bar. I also have shadow bind that cost 3 ability point to equip to my bar. Since I am only rank 1 I can only equip one action at a time. Meaning I have to choose which skills I want to battle with. You dont just get to use everything you have learned. You can switch skills in and out while you are out of combat, but once you start a fight you are stuck. I didnt know this for a while, but most skills from classes can be mixed and mashed. Meaning I can put spells I have learned from my DoM on my bar while playing a DoW. You still need the skill points to equip them but mixing skills from different Jobs is very important in creating a strong character.

Physical levels give you Attribute and elemental points. The attribute points cover your physical traits,

    Strength (STR)– physical attack power.
Vitality (VIT) – physical defense. and health
    Dexterity (DEX) – attack accuracy.
Intelligence (INT) – magical attack power.
Mind (MND) – magical defense. and Mana
    Piety (PIE) – magical accuracy.

While I havent learned what Elemental points are for I can update this. Not sure if they make spells stronger in each area, or if its just defense.

Another reason to level different Jobs is the experience you get. Here is a video explaining it.

I will update more info as I read about it and find it out. Most of the credit goes to other community sites or people I play with since I am really just learning.

I set up the macros and that helped a lot. Saved me a lot of time.
