Final Fantasy XIV ARR Success Helps to Shift SE to a Profitable Forecast

Square Enix previous expected to a take a loss in the first half of the fiscal year, however, the greater than expected success of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has helped to move them out of a loss and make it a profitable first half for the company. The successful relaunch of FFXIV will no doubt help to push the continued support for the game. It is also a positive sign for MMOs as FFXIV is one of the few remaining pay to play MMOs as most eventually shift to free to play or start out free to play.
