Delayed a week, Naoki Yoshida has released a post on the FFXIV forums letting everyone know that the phase 1 beta testing will be coming out on 25th of February. He said the delay has allowed them to put a little more into the test for the beta testers to experience. One of the available features will be the FATE system or Full Active Time Events. FATE are a non-instance battle that occurs randomly in the game world that anyone can join. Joining a party is not required and rewards are given out after the battle. The player only has to be near to the event for them to join.
Another feature that they might have in by the time or a little later and patch it in, will be the guildhest system, which is a redesigned behest system. Additionally, there will be quests part of the main story available for players and even a level 30 dungeon to try out.
