Will it be as linear as other FF13's is my first question.
Well, now that it's official... as a couple of you are already aware, I will be representing The Final Fantasy at a first look press event for Lightning Returns in the middle of January. While we had to have our official questions submitted for review prior to finalization of the itinerary, I am interested all the same in what else you guys would like to know about Lightning Returns, or other things involving Fabula Nova Crystallis should I be granted the opportunity of an open floor with these developers.
I cannot yet say which questions we received approval to ask on-site, but I am sincerely hoping for a chance to get some face time outside of the press room with any of the development team or marketing group.
Consider this thread an open floor to ask your questions. If they are things we already know the answers to, we'll respond in kind; otherwise, I will be taking a supplemental list with me when I fly out in three weeks.

It'll be more like FFXIII-2 than FFXIII, but they've already said exploration is going to be one of the important aspects of the game. Since time is always moving and certain things happen at certain times. You'll have to travel around and return to places you've been before to see events or get quests. It'll be more like Majora's Mask.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.

The trailers show this a little. We have both up if you want to watch them. But they have said the game is world driven, so learning about the world and exploring it is going to be a critical component to the game.

For what it's worth, the event is in less than 24 hours. I have an embargo on the information I'll receive tomorrow, but it will be released to the public very soon after. If you have any afterthoughts, now is the time to get them in. I should have roughly an hour after the viewing and presentation to share thoughts and such with the two representatives who will be there (no, I can't say who yet) and mingle with the other reporters.
I can't promise I'll get answers to any other questions, but I wanted to provide you with this opportunity all the same.
