No I didn't have a problem with the Blue Chocobo, but you could use the fragment skill that gives you stronger or rare enemies. I forget which it is, but that might improve the odds of the chocobo spawning for you.

Yep, got both the Battlemania and the 'more monsters' skills on but they haven't helped at all, at least, not with the Blue.. I guess I'll just keep trying, I hope my game is not just glitched up.. I'd hate to get all the beasties and then have this one left that I couldn't get.. I would NOT be a happy camper..

I doubt it is a bug, just bad luck. If I remember there are blue chocobos around the lake in the Steppe, there is a chocobo of some type here Blue or Purple. They look similar sometimes. But there are a few monster guides on FAQs that you can use to look for other locations to try for a blue in that might have better luck.

Well, I did FINALLY find the Blue Chocobo and get it's crystal.. But I have another question.. When you look at the Bestiary and check to see the monsters under their category, there are some that have a check mark by them and some that don't.. Do anyone know what the check mark means.. At first I thought it was for beasts that I hadn't found or fought yet but that can't be right as, not only did I fight them, I have the crystals for them..

For example, under Spooks, it has no check mark by the Ahriman and yet I have ALL the spook crystals, including Ahriman.. So, just wondering if any one has an idea what the check means?

The check means that you've completed the information for the monster. If there is not a check then there is still parts about the monster that you don't know. This like all of the status ailments resistances are things that you analyze. There is no need to fill out all of the monsters, but if you want scope makes it easier to finish.

I'm now at 159 fragments and have 4 trophies left to get... Now to find every monster to get my last fragment before trying to get the Giant's Fist trophy and beating the final bosses once more.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to to obtain the Giants Fist Trophy. I just staggered Long Gui to 999.9% and pounded him in Agression and all of a sudden the trophy popped. I wasn't even going for it! Good luck to you.

P.S. I did not debuff him at all, and the only buffs I had on my party were from the Buccaboo Ace Feral Link.

Thanks, I had a few hits of around 75k against Raspatil last night. Once I get the final fragment then the Odin weapons should make it possible to get the 99k quite quickly.

Well, I have 155 fragments and am down to trying to get my last monster for the Bestiary and I'm absolutely stuck! I have tried a 1/2 dozen times to get the correct monster to spawn with nary a peek at it! It's called the Tezcatlipoca and it's suppose to spawn in Academia 500AF in the very NE corner platform (according to my strategy guide) and though I've closed the door and gone through the maze again and again the only things that I can get to spawn there are Xoloti and Miquiztili.. I can like kill them with about 4 hits now and have (though I haven't rcvd'd either's crystals, which I'd love to get).. Has anyone had the same problem getting this monster to show up? I'm using the Battlemania Fragment but it hasn't helped any.. I just keep getting the other two.. Getting very aggravating to being this close to completing the Bestiary and not being able to do it..

Well I beat the game earlier today. Fragment total was at 127/160. Got the Chronosavior trophy on the first attempt. Being a bit OP and having Tonberry helps. I'll keep working on getting the other fragments till next Tuesday at which time Tales of Graces F is released.

Noticed that they re-used plot points from FFXIII pretty blatantly, but overall the I find it slightly better than the first. Gameplay helped in making it better, but a noticeably short story did not.

And I feel that I may stay away from the DLC. Unless it continues the story after the ending and meets other requirements of mine. Remember when Omega was in V, VIII, X, XII without having to pay extra for him (null if you got the pre-order bonus with him)? Or how there were secret characters in VI & VII that we did not need to pay to acquire. Or how "secret"/"super" weapons were hidden or a sidequest in the game without having to pay to get them. Remember the Coliseum in VI, the Battle Arena in VII, & the Monster Arena in X and how there were monsters there to fight without having to pay extra to fight those monsters? Why aren't those included in the game to begin with? If you are to add stuff to the game then clearly it was not finished. I like my off-line games to be completed to the extent the developers want when released.

But shoudln't that be in the game already? Intersperse segments of other characters' stories throughout the game. They did that in VIII with Laguna. If it is to further explain & clarify the story and they are making it a part of the game why hold off putting it in. It is not like some Ultimania Book or whatnot. That was one of the DLCs that interested me. Lightning in on the front cover, could at least used more sections of her than the limited amount we received. Shoddy workmanship from my seat. It depends when it comes out. I'll try to gather as much as I can and make a decision from there.

Zargabaath, I think, unfortunately, DLC is going to be common practice in SE games from now on.. Anything to part players from even more money.. Companies like Square and Sony pay huge bonuses to people for coming up with ideas to squeeze their customers even harder.. Someone got a HUGE bonus for thinking up this idea..

Hey, does anyone know the year in whitch you find Lighting. I kinda quit till i can figure out the year, but I have yet found it. It is really making me mad. The best FF character I like isn't even played in the game except the very begining.

I am hoping I am not the only one who feels this way!

You can get Lightning as DLC and beat her to try and get her in your team as a monster, making her playable. Otherwise she's not a playable character.

I must say, the game's fun if you just try to get all the fragments. Some are really tricky, but the rest is fairly okay and easy to get. (Except for Yomi... goddamn beast!)

By the way, how long did all of you need to beat Yomi? Is there a chance to beat it in less than 20 minutes? Maybe my strategy is just lame and that's why I always try for 5 minutes and realize I've only damaged it 1/5... -_-"

Anyways, I don't use Sazh at all and I've finally gotten the damn casino fragment. Took me four hours in which I watched TV to not have to watch the game. It would probably have been finished after 2 hours but... well. ^^"

Tonight I'm surely going to end the game. I can't say I'm excited, but I'm interested in the ending. xP

Yomi is a real beast.. Even now when Serah and Noel are at lv 99 with HP of over 9k I still have a somewhat hard time with him.. Because he's FAST, so FAST.. The only advice I can give you is to be sure to have a SYN that can add the Bravega and Faithga buffs and, while under protection of a SEN use Serah to add poison and wound and keep hitting him with poison until it sticks.. Also use Tortoise to your advantage when you see Wicked Whirl coming at you, duck and cover.. After that I just used Delta and occasional bouts of relentless assaults, healed when necessary and kept pounding away.. Took me less then 5 minutes.. BUT my party IS pretty much as high as you can get now, I think.. Good luck, hon..

Now, here's MY problem.. Thanks to Andromeda's advice, I finally got Tezcatlipoca last night.. So, thinking that my Beastiary was done I went to see Dr. M, only to discover it evidently is not.. So I went back over the whole list again and discovered 2 errors.. The first is you need to fight Fal'cie Adam FOUR times, not three, so am trying to figure out how to do that one again (has to be done a specific way) and then there is one another l'cie creature called a Malebranche that I missed and I've been unable to get it to appear at all in the Clearwater Marsh.. It's suppose to be like a Wladislaus but they are the only creatures I seem to get to appear over there.. So will try again today to get the Malebranche to pop up..

Found some new DLC on my PS3 this morning.. Got a new outfit for Serah, nice since I had no intention of buying that stupid beach outfit for her and two new weapons for both she and Noel which I bought.. They are only 99 cents each so decided to go for it.. I'm going to download Lightning too, just for fun and I want to have her in my collection.

I'm not interested in paying for DLC to see side stories etc. They lost me somehow. Things are different in a worse way for the franchise. I dont want to pay to see Sazh. I dont want to pay to see Snow. I dont care.

Well, I sure understand how you feel, Rowan.. I felt the same way and am still angry that it ended the way it did.. All I am hoping for is the next installment will answer all the questions and put everything that happened to rights.. I swear, if it doesn't, I won't be buying anymore FF games again.. It was, all in all, a piss-poor way to leave the story..

But, that being said, there is a lot more to the game.. I have been having fun getting a complete Bestiary and I will be leaving the game, as soon as that's done, with 157 fragments and I have no idea where the last 3 are..

Wow, it's nearly 2am! Very late for us old grannys to be up BUT I found out through diligent searching that I was still short 2 monsters/beasts and the reason? It's Ciaus! Do you know you have to defeat him a TOTAL of 8 times before he's counted as down and out? So I found out I needed to do 2 more Paradox endings in order to get the last 2 fights I needed with him.. I think this kind of sucks! I mean, come on, the first time you win a battle with the main bad dude, that should be more then enough but nooooooooooooo, not for FF.. So, I did the Timeless Sky paradox ending and went into a very long and drawn out fight and tomorrow I shall go into the last one.. I SINCERELY hope it's the last one.. I swear if I don't get that fragment for the Bestiary, I will kill that fat dude for putting me through this.. Night all!

I think the story was great, it had a lot of complexity and could have gone on much longer if SE had been so inclined to write more to it, but the ending sucked and there's simply no denying that..

I must say... I knew how it was going to end. At the end of chapter 5 you just knew what would happen. I just waited for it to happen. BUT...

... what the **** was the ending anyways?! We knew since the beginning of chapter 6 that Serah and Noel would kill Etro - and then all would be chaos, etc. etc. etc. We knew. But I thought it would end with an END not with a "to be continued". Seriously, what did I play the game for? I didn't rescue the world, I just built the basis for a new game. :/ That's just... I don't know, disappointing? Yes, probably.

Still, I liked the missions - I'm pretty sure I'll try to complete the bestiary and also find all the paradox endings. It seems I'm now able to...

But as for the story... nah. Could've been much better. They all should've known. But well. I suppose there'll be a FFXIII-3 soon. I wonder who'll be the main person in this game. Probably another side character XD

Don't forget you have to fight Caius EIGHT times and Fal-cie Adam FOUR times in order to complete the Bestiary and even though my characters are really strong and I have the best weapons, Caius is HARD the last two times so prepare yourselves accordingly.. Well, it's an hour later now and I just finished playing through the second to last Paradox ending, Heir to Chaos.. So, I have 159 fragments (only the Lucky fragment is missing), completed the Bestiary and am back at Serendipity.. I don't know if I'm going to bother to go for the last one right now.. Think it's time to set the game aside, check out some new ones (demos) and get back into Tibia, as I've been lax in playing due to this game..

If I do pick up 13-2 again it will be to go for the last fragment, get the rest of the racing trophies and titles and, perhaps, go on to get every adornment I missed (but I'm a bit ticked-off about these since you cannot get them all without having a FF13 game saved on the PS3.. My FF13 is for my XBox.. )

I didn't find Caius to be that bad really. I have the odin weapons and my Amodar has 1,100 strength and 15,000 HP so he's proven to be quite useful

I beat the main storyline last night. A bit over 69 hours of play.

Spoiler: The ending not only made me cry, it freakin' pissed me off! Horrible ending. Serah dying was awful, and then the goddess being dead...TO BE CONTINUED??? Are you freaking kidding me? GRRRRRR. Not pleased at all with the ending. Probably the worst ending to an FF game I've seen. I'm hoping the other Paradox endings (only seen one) are better.

Overall, however, the game was freakin' awesome. Now I just need to get my last 20 or so fragments, get the rest of the weapons, do some choco racing, and I think I'll be at 100%

It took me a little while to get the platinum trophy for this game. Glad I did because it is only my second. I used my chocobo army for the game once I learned where the rare ones are. Seriously, using a RAV, SYN, and MED chocobo makes this game way too fun.
