New Lightning Returns Trailer "13 Days"

Square Enix released another new trailer for Lightning Returns. This time a lot of the focus is showing off the different equipment/outfits that the player will be able to equip on Lightning. There is a large variety from what has been shown with some of them even coming with unique animations that Lightning will play while wearing the outfit.

That is a metric ass-ton of different outfits, shown in that teaser. I have become more interested in the game if I get to kill Noel... it would seriously make my interest level go up.

It still amazes me how butthurt i am regarding XIII-2. I have never been this upset about a game i enjoyed the gameplay for. I have to assume it's because I loved XIII so much, and its sequel shat upon it story wise.

Noel probably isn't going to end up dead, though you'll probably be able to beat him up to your hearts content at the very least. Considering he is a main character of the series, it seems unlikely he'll end up dead. Though maybe there will be multiple endings and he'll end up dead in the bad ending.

But yeah, there are a lot of costumes. I'm guessing there will probably be something for everyone. There are certainly some I think are just silly, but others look pretty cool. Lightning's default is actually growing on me, despite my initial impression of being rather unimpressed by it.

It's accurate to Cloud though, not much you can do about his design.

When I was there in January, Kitase confirmed there would be only ONE ending, a happy ending, so players could feel proper closure to Lightning's story.

Whether Noel being alive or dead makes Lightning happy, well... we'll see.

Noel is the coolest character from Final Fantasy by far.

I actually really like Noel... he's the best thing about XIII-2 imo.

I didn't have a problem with Noel. He had an interesting back story and relation to the villain. Though I'm guessing he's blaming himself for what happened with Serah. And since everyone is living forever, he's had a lot of time to be depressed over the subject. The game is like 500 years or something after XIII-2.

Hopefully, they work in all of the gods they have in their mythology with their closure. It meant a lot to the world setting, so I'd hate to see it ignored for the conclusion.

Where is Pulse, where is Lindzei because they ARE on Gran Pulse.

Any of the still functioning fal'Cie are indeed on Gran Pulse. Though who knows what the sea of chaos did to them. Mwynn couldn't survive in chaos and neither could Etro. I believe all of Gran Pulse is covered in chaos with the area Lightning is in being surrounded by the sea of chaos and only the new Cocoon, Bhunivelze floating in the sky away from the physical manifestation of chaos. The effects of chaos still affect everyone even without touching it. Hence, living forever, which Caius wanted. There's a lot of questions they need to provide some solid answers to before it is all over.
