New Character Revealed for Lightning Returns

Shown off today in Jump magazine, Square Enix has revealed a new character that Lightning will meet and interact with during her adventure. The new character is called Lumina and looks a lot like Serah, Lightning's sister, it's unknown the reason for their similarity, but no doubt the story will eventually answer it. Lumina seems to look down on Lightning as a toy, so she helps and hinders Lightning.

Additionally, they've said that there will be a guard and evasion built into the combat system. They don't say how it is worked it, but with the face buttons filled it might be on another part of the control given the more active nature of the game. There will also be new spells and abilities.

They also talked about new equipment that can be worn by Lightning to change her appearance. The first two are called Dark Muse and The Lonely Soul.

Oh was that the event in California big reveal? ^^; Oops, well I guess Jump is on a different schedule or something. Well when you're free to talk about what you learned from the event you can reply or make a new article. Didn't think that Jump will be scooping the event.

So its serah with a haircut? I'm so disenchanted.

She has a sideways ponytail like Serah. So it likely the same length as Serah. Serah also looked like she had shorter hair with the way she pulled it back. It's like mirror universe Serah or the "bad girl" Serah.
