Meet Ali Hillis, voice of Lightning, today in Las Vegas

Good morning, fans of FFXIII, Mass Effect, and more! Today, at the second annual GameStop Expo, you can have your own opportunity to meet Ali Hillis, live at the Venetian in Las Vegas, where she will be autographing headshots and speaking with fans.

She will begin signing at 14:00 / 2pm Pacific.

Blast. It's no secret that I've got zero love for anything FF post-IX but I loved the Mass Effect games---even the much-maligned third game. Would love to have her autograph.

Where's the invention of a site-to-site transporter when I need it? Nowhere! We need more geeks working on this stuff. To paraphrase Professor Farnsworth, I don't want to live in this century anymore.

EDIT: On second thought, I don't even know what I'd DO with an autograph. It would be cooler to meet her, I think. Oh well. I blame the Vulcans for not initiating First Contact sooner.

So, Tuesday night, during our private Expo, apparently she stayed an hour and a half longer than she was supposed to. She was due to stop signing at 20:00 and kept going until 21:30 without the slightest hesitation. Say what you may about the games she gets hired for, but there's no denying her dedication to her fanbase. From what I understand, she stayed late on Wednesday too, but not quite to that extent.

That was very cool of her to do. Many people signing autographs, I'd imagine, would be halfway out the door when the clock strikes.
