    About Sazh (spoiler warning)

I just finished the scene where Sazh raises his gun against her, i thought he was a total idiot. He saw the video, still he was gonna shoot her for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, thats just evil
Appearantly he was horribly depressed but why would he threaten her as punishment?

Also the scene felt repeatative, like from the Hope/Snow thing where Snow goes on and on about that he should be punished, then Vanille does the same.
Although i get why, they just go on and on about it, it's too much focus on just that.
Maybe i'm making a big deal outta that but that Vanille need to humble herself so much to Sazh for doing pracically nothing, bothers me.
Felt like i was watching a really unjust thing, and it doesn't really make me like Sazh anymore, i thought he wasn't a retard.

So up until now i've really followed the storyline and really liked so far.. but after just that cut-scene it bothered me for some reason, didnt follow and thought it was stupid if something.
Maybe i need explaining, i dont want spoilers though plz

I mean...its his kid. She wasn't at the wrong place at the wrong time, she caused it to happen. She didn't mean to, but if she hadn't been there, Dajh would have been fine.

At the end of the cutscene he changes his mind obviously...but...think of it this way:

He's been essentially protecting this girl. He's been opening up to her, talking to her about his son, really taking her under his wing.

Then he finds out that she is the reason his whole life has gone to shit.

It's easy to recognize that it isn't really Vanille's fault when you're on the outside looking in...but what if it was you? What if your son just got turned to Crystal in front of your eyes, you never get to see him again. You're on the run from the government, and you've been protecting the person who's responsible for all of it.

He had every right to be mad.

Yeah i get that, good answer.
But still i thought he had more to him than this
I thought he was gonna react in a total different way, in a forgiving way because he cares for her but it was all about punishment and making her feel bad, which i thought was pretty mean.

He should know pointing the gun wouldn't make any difference, that's why i think he's a total idiot and i lost respect for him.

Honestly I think the game would have had more of an impact if Sazh shot himself, or better yet shot Vanille instead. That cutscene was just powerful, I felt every bit of the anger Sazh felt, and well I didn't want the typical FF thing to happen (which it did anyway) where we get mad at each other, act like we're going to do something crazy and then not do it.

Of course the public MUST have a happy ending and well they got it... pfft nonsense

I see where you're going with this, but what good will that do. This whole game is about seeking happiness/justice. Suicide is the polar opposite of happy. That isn't something a game like this should be trying to advertise. The fact that nothing happened means they are strong enough to move on and try to make things right. No matter the consequences. Death is not the answer...actually moving forward, no matter how hurt/angry you are, trying to seek happiness and justice is a heck of a lot more respectable.

Did that make any sense? >.<

Of course, it made perfect sense, just saying, it's a video game, people shouldn't really be looking for Life's Answers in a video game. That's what the Bible (I've never read it) is for or so I've heard. It's a fantasy for a reason, it's a game for a reason, to give people the unexpected or at least that's what I grew up believing.

Anyhow you did make sense sir.

    Sir?

I've done just fine without the bible. As have many others. The majority of the population don't read the bible, so the only references they do get may happen to be in a video game. Younger people play this game as well. Learning this type of stuff in a classroom doesn't happen as often as it used to. Parents barely teach it to their children anymore. At least as far as I've seen. They go over it rather bluntly. At least Vanille realizes her mistake and is willing to do anything to make it right. And Sazh is a better man for not killing her. That's my opinion anyway.

I could feel Sazh's pain, and I would have been very angry also. When he was gonna commit suicide I lost some respect for him. I continued to play the game, and was happy to realise that he made up for it. He learned that commiting suicide wouldn't help anything, to bad other people don't realise this.
