What name you assigned Tidus

Hello there, i hope that you enjoy this thread that has been in my mind for a while. We all know that at the start of FFX, you can change the name of Tidus , the only character to do so in the game.
My question is as follows: What kinds of funny and sometimes absurd names you assigned to Tidus. Enjoy!

I kept his name the same lolol. I don't usually mess with the names I like to keep the originals.

hmmm, that makes me wonder how many people actually change the names O.o

I kept it the same too, only because I can never think of any other names that would sound decent if you can rename characters. But I will tell you probably the funniest name I've heard it changed to: Meg Ryan. Yeah, that joke is probably really played out by now, but when I first saw it, I thought it was hilarious.

I usually don't change the characters name that often. I have a few times. On FFT I changed Ramza to Kraven, gamer name I use often. On VII I changed Cloud on one of my files, he was named after a guy I know with Spikey Blonde hair. I think I changed Tidus' name to Charlotte one time, no real reason.

I only change the MC's (main character, it's not Hammertime yer) name and leave the others until I've played through the game, then I reverse it if possible
Tidus was named BLARG! because it makes me laugh in sappy love scenes with text boxes

I usually leave the names alone, but I used to name the characters after Dragon Ball Z characters. one time when I was playing VIII I named Squall Ass Bandit. That was funny.

Because of the similarity of the 'official' pronunciation - Tee-dus - I called him 'Tedious' one time.

Other favourites of mine by other people include 'Tightass' and 'Meg Ryan'.

I just leave the names at default, can't say I ever changed characters name, not just in X but in other Final Fantasy's also, so Tidus stayed Tidus.

i have used so many names i dont even remember them all...but right now im playing through on my NSGNSNO challenge with the name Mustaine....and my NSGNSNCNONENNENBB challenge with the name Ozzy

Once I got bored and started a new game. I decided to call him 'Hitler', mainly to get kicks out of those kids asking 'Hitler' to sign their blitzball. It really doesn't work, because the game's dialogue is pretty much entirely structured around trying to never say his name, which is poor, really.

I try to always keep the names the originals. I think it's funny that they never say his name at all in the game just in case. It kind of annoys me that he is just referred to as "him". haha.

When I first played FFVII though, I named cloud ADAM7, and I named Tifa EVE7. That's probably why I never did that again. haha

When I first play through a game that gives the option to name the characters I normally keep the default just to be comfortable with getting to know who's who. On my second play through I named him Lamp :/

To be honest, I was kind of surprised they'd allow me to change the main characters' name in FFX of all games. Considering there's voice acting in this game, I was worried that nobody would refer to each other by their name. Thankfully, I was relieved when Tidus addressed Auron. Still, it felt kind of weird how nobody asked Tidus's name throughout the game.

Yuna: I love you... um.... I just realized something; you never told us your name sense we met.

Tidus: Um... gotta go!" (Tidus jumps off the airship as he disappears.)

...To answer your question, I kept his name the same.

tbh, I don't see the point in changing default names. It'd be like renaming a character in a book. Having to assign folk names annoys me like you wouldn't believe, I prefer the decision to be made for me, no matter how absurd the name may be ]:

lol one time I made Tidus's name just a bunch of random symbols or was it another language.... That was the only time I changed his name.

I just kept the name tidus becasue it fits him because after all that is his real name.You can change it but it won't make a difference. He still is tidus any you still are the dumbest people that I have ever seen in my entire life. Ypu should now go and cry in a corner for being so stupid. you should be ashamed of yourselves.

First play through I named him nothing. I don't mean the word nothing, I mean I entered a few spaces and hit done. Was always funny in Blitzball.

I left the Tidus name alone in Final Fantasy X, I really don't care for changing the characters names in any of the Final Fantasy games.

In The Other One, I Might Change It, Not Sure As To What Name I Will Give Him Though.

I usually keep the names the same. The only game I ever have changed the name was VII i always call Barrett Mr. T. But for Tidus if I did change it I would change it to Whiny.
