I think it was rather boring. But I guess they wanted to make grinding more interesting than just running in circles.
What did you think? Did you like it or absolutely hate it?
Personally, I thought it was the best part of the game. I spent countless hours in there.
The second part to this is why does a thing like this exist. This was inspired by a friend who had posted this in another forum. I'm also writing about it in said other forum. I have their ideas and theories, but I would like to see yours. Is it connected to the farplane or a separate entity? If it isn't connected to the farplane, how would you explain the mass amount of fiends and the ability to see memories down there? Thoughts?

Check it out. The Fall of Spira is finished!

It doesn't have an explanation. They just couldn't be assed building a proper dungeon, so built a repeating one and filled it with monsters. I liked the bosses. I didn't like the amount of time it took yo get between them. If I remember right, Trema was relatively difficult. Nothing compared to X's Penance though.
OT: Penance isn't really difficult... It just requires A LOT of grinding and patience. Personally I was rather disappointed that the Penance battle was so repetive. If you learn how to survive for 2 minuters, you can apply the same strategy for the rest of the battle, because there are no surprises.
Another thing I dislike with Penance is the fact that there is NO WAY to beat him without grinding. Other super-bosses (Like Emerald Weapon, Ozma etc.) can be beaten even on low levels if you have a good strategy. This isn't the case with Penance.
Via Infinico was unnecessarily huge.
That place drove me banana sandwich. Actually, I think on my last play through, I left off fighting one last boss in there although I can't remember which. I think it was Trema's fiend.
It was a good time waster indeed, but it felt a little ridiculous after a while imo. Like.. really 100 f*cking floors!? WHY lol.

It was alright for the first 50 levels but after that it began to become a bit repetative. The last two boss fights were pretty cool, both really hard fights. I remember the first time I fought them I had to use the Catnip trick as they both kept killing me in about a minute!
My missus hated this the first time she played it but now she has completed it three times. She wants to go through the game again now she has 3 Iron Dukes (the best accessory in the game hands down!!!) The only hard bit is Chac and Concherer but the time and effort is well worth the prize!!!
