Shouldnt FFX be made into a movie?

i think it'd should stay as a game because usually when games are made into movies, it kinda ruins the whole storyline. altho, it'd be awesome if FFX was a movie and stayed true to the main storyline.

Absolutely not. There should be a law that videogames cannot be turned into movies because 95% of the time, the movie will be terrible. The only exception to that was Tomb Raider.

The only thing FFX has going for it, if it were to be a movie, is that the characters were so stiff and boring that the actors would have to be comatose to make them any less interesting.

The only FF actually worthy of a movie remake would be VI, and I wouldn't even want that because I know it would get botched and I'd be pissed.

I guess it would depend on how it was delivered. Movies of game tend to suck because they tend to skip parts of the story (lets face it - if they included everything, we'd be looking at a good three... maybe four hour plus CGI movie), and you feel as if you didn't get any enjoyment or satisfaction from sitting around and watching the events unfold.

I think if they did turn them into movies, they should section them out... If you didn't like the first part of the movie, then you know to not watch the next one. A bit like a television series.

But then that idea would suck if you're paying £5 to see each part... unless it was a series... eh. Don't listen to me - I'm talking shit.

It say it may sound like a good idea, but maybe it's best to leave the game as just that. I wouldn't object if they did though...

Really if anyone wants this made into a movie they should just go back and play the game. It is already just a few scenes short to be another Xenosaga Ep. 1. Seriously out of all of the FF's this title is the closest thing to a full length motion video already.

As for the concept of actually making a movie out if it I still have to say no. There is not enough left to actually cover with the exception of the Ject, Braska, and Auron's pilgramige and honestly they cover enough of it in the actual story of FFX that it wouldn't be that interesting well atleast until the end, I would like to see that but it would be botched up that it would probably be way to be affective.

As for a remake of FFX into a movie, no. There is no reason as I stated before just play through it if you want to see a movie. Sure it is a long movie but you actually get your moneys worth.

I believe the storyline behind FFX to be better than most movies. The Japanese are a lot better at it than the Americans. Give Japan Hollywood, and we'll see some decent movies.

Well personnly I am not 100% for the idea because if they include FFX-2 it would be just so complicated. The story line is so confusing in FFX-2. If they leave out FFX-2 I would be 100% for the idea.

I think it'd be ok...But I wouldn't Want it be made...It just seems to be a idea with too many flaws... They could hire actors that completely overact (Scenes where someone dies etc.) , That animation, could be terrible... I know these can be put to any films, but FF seems to be something that, not needs, but would be handicapped without these things (Imagine a spell with the original star wars type explosions) Though they could make great effects...I don't think they'd waste thousands of pounds for a game movie...

FF X is the closest any other FF game gets to a film, so I would be for it. It had the best characters, best couple and best story IMO. I remember in the interview with the VA of Tidus and Yuna, they both said how the deep and emotional the story is and how it is an experience you can get immersed in. If the story was broken down into 2 or 3 (3 maybe be stretching it) movies so none of the story is missing, gave it great animation (Like Avatar, but not 3D) and keep everything the same (except the fight scenes obviously) and we will have a great cinematic experience.

FFX should DEFINETELY be a movie! I've been thinking this for years lol.

They'd have to be VERY selective about the actors/actresses they use, though. That's what I'd want, anyway. They'd have to do the characters justice.

I would love to see FF X on the big screen, and in 3D, but the odds of it being like the game is slim.

If It does come out I would only watch it if SE did the script, and the directing!

I also believe that not all video games that are made in to movies will suck, but most of the time they are written and directed by people who never played the game or even care if it lives up to the game. They do it how they see fit, and how they think it will catch the audiences attention, and the way they are used to doing it is not the same with a video game!

I have seen many game to movie transitions in my time, ranginga scope of all genras. Needless to say about 95% of them were poorly done; not intirely bad just poorly done. The best one that I have seen would have to be Hitman which in the end was decent at most. Square has had their final say so in alot of the films / anime series that they have release and they have done alright in trying to keep true to the series (exception FFU sucked). FFVIIAC was done nicely and the extended version was pretty kick ass for the most part.

Now with all of that stated I would like to say that I would NOT want to see them remake X (or god forbid X-2) into a movie, live action or anime. With all their other ventures they have had the ability to adapt seeing that they are not set on a liniar story. They have had the means to develop an independant story and not have to follow the direction of an already wrote script. I feel they would skimp on the areas that really needed to be adressed just so they can throw in a few more flashy battle scenes and pointless banter.

The only way that I think that I could even see this working out would be if they decided to make it into a multi installment film. That is the only way I can see them actually having the ablity to actually portrey the story as it was intended to be told.

I don't see the mid point of the story being captivating enough to keep an active audiance based interested enough to want to watch the final parts on screne. With the game there is enough to do to keep yourself entertained but I don't think that they could use the side quest sections into a movie and actually make them fit accordingly.

Now I will say if they did decide to do a multipart installment venture I would be more willing to say I would want them to go for it. I doubt they would want to sink that much money into it to do something like that.

I don't think they should make it a movie. It was one of those games where so many parts of it were fun to play, not so fun to watch, like the cloister of trials and long boss fights towards the end. For it to make sense it would have to be way to long. Having said that if it were made in to a movie I would still watch it.

That has always been the problem with making a game into a movie and even with books, in a game the creators have 50+ hours to tell a story, little things would be left out of a movie that make the story great and helps the gamer to understand things. Trying to condense all the information into a movie would just be too tall a task for any script writer to try and ponder to make a good Final Fantasy X movie so no I don't think any Final Fantasy game would make a good movie, X included, but we can wish.
