Game Progress (No Spoilers)

I'm now at lvl 89 with basch,ashe and Vaan.

Im fighting yaizmat now.My characters have the tournesol(vaan) ultima blade(ashe) and the ragnarok(basch) my reserves are all lvl 17, i wont be using them in a hurry lol.

Man this fight is really annoying.Is omega mk xii harder than yaizmat cause im thinking of going to him instead.

Okay, I can personally confirm that you don't in fact have to fight the Elder Wyrm.


But let me tell you, it's bloody difficult to get through. Well, at least I thought so. I tried to fight my way down the bottom part of Golomore Jungle, only to get my ass handed to me on a platter by those Hellhounds. Feh!

So I went back up, teleported back to Jarhara and upgraded my weapons the best I could (Eruyt Villiage doesn't sell weapons. Argh!) and decided to level up a bit and fought my way back to Golomore Jungle instead of hopping the chocobo.

Fought my way down again, got totally pnwnd by those hellhounds.... AGAIN. So I decided that fighting wasn't going to work, so I held down R2 to flee past them. Went down and ended up having to go into the Feywood (did I mention I'm only level 25, and the Feywood roughly level 40?? Yikes!) So I hightailed it to the Paramina Rift.

Then fought my way back up again and now I'm in Mt Bur-Omnisace, without fighting the Elder Wyrm. I'm going to go back and fight it though, I want the rewards from Montblanc.

So long as you're fleeing, and you have a good idea of where to go so you don't get lost and overpowered by monsters, it can be done!

montblonc only gives you 800 gil for beating the elder wyrm so its not worth it really.

yeah i know,I'm the same myself hence why i want to and need to beat yaizmat and omega mk xii.

I can't let any boss best me cause I hate leaving optional bosses out.

In ffx i had to beat penance
in ffvii i had to beat all weapons
In ffviii had to beat ultima and omega
In ffix I had to beat Ozma
and in ffx-2 i had to beat tremal.

I accomplished all of these so yaizmat and omega mk xii won't be any different.

I'm just about to go into the Sochen Cave Palace. Although first I have to fight the Mandragoras or whatever they're called. Meh. I disliked that particular boss fight as well, not too keen on doing that.

I've been leveling in the Tchita Uplands, I think my characters are lv 35.

I'm 25 hours in the game, my average level is 29 and I've just got past henne mines.

I've just started playing this again. I've completed the fishing minigame and got Lu Shang's Badge from that one fish. I also finally got the materials I needed and got the Tournesol too. My current party is:

I just beat it for the second time. Everyone was at level 81. About 150+ hours clocked. I was in much better shape this time around, it took me about five minutes to kill Vayne in his final form.

I've decided to start again this time doing the power walkthru so I can get the Zodiac Spear which I missed out on and try and get a perfect save file. So far I am 4 hours in and have two MQ and at level 17... my goal is somewhere round level 28 then I should be able to cruise through the game very quickly.

I've enjoyed my trip through Ivalice so far its been an epic one. I'm currently at the Mt-Bur Ominiscence entrance with Vaan being at level 38 (I like to honor his title of leading man by never removing him), Basch at 33 and the rest at 30 - 31. I was intending to make my journey to the final boss as easy as possible first time through so I resort to rediculous training sessions and attemps at every sidequest and hunt available. I tackled that sidequest to obtain the Barheim Key and have managed to snatch up about 17 of those reliable deathbringer swords (4 party members have them equipped, sold the rest) as well as gaining Zalera. Pounded Aldramalech onto my side using quickenings and I've accomplished every hunt available so far. I attempted to gain Cuchlian(Or however it's spelled) But failed even after I nailed him with 3 quickening chain a black hole being amoung them. Right now I'm gonna powerlevel my characters a bit more along Paramina rifts before Larsa and his unlimited potion stash bails.

I'm actually on my third new game. All I have in the party is Vaan and Penelo. I'm at Giza, looking for Jinn. My levels are: Vaan-4, Penelo-4. I have 476 Gil.

I actually just started playing FFXII about a week ago, so I'm not very far, but it's SO fantastic. The new battle system took me some time to adjust to, and I'm still trying to get the hang of quickenings, but I'm really, really enjoying it so far. I just completed The Tomb of Raithwall, and my characters are sitting around level 20. I've done three hunts, and will probably spend a LOT of time just leveling up my weaker characters (that would be Penelo and Balthier at the moment).

I actually just started playing this game (a friend gave it to me for my birthday). I stayed up 5 hours past my bedtime the first night and in the last three days I've managed to get to the point where I'm leveling up in anticipation of getting into the palace. Is it just me, or are the hunts AFTER the tomato much harder?

Oooo. Hope you didn't get into too much trouble for that. It's not really a good idea to stay up past your bedtime, but for playing Final Fantasy XII, I can understand.

The clan hunts are ranked I through VIII, VIII being the most powerful monsters to battle. Consider them as boss battles, even though they aren't all part of the story line. The Rogue Tomato is a Rank I monster.

Yeah, I'm pretty much 1337 at this point. Sad thing is, it's not really worth it. And I'm finding that some of the interactions with characters in Clan Centurio and Petitioners are actually more interesting than main characters (Monid, anyone?).

i on my second playthrough of the actual game itself and ive been trying to develope characters more equally then my first time. by the time i was near the end the first time i had to characters at level 53 but then i had my others at level 21 and lower....bad idea. so this time i took a little more time and i have all of them to level 55-60. i have like 500k gil and countless number of steps
