It really depends how you are going to use him. You can really put him down any grid. I personally didn't use him and just left him in his own grid. lol I would probably put him in Tidus or Auron's grid if you want him to be an attacker. Lulu or Yuna's grid if you want him to use magic. Like I said it all depends upon the way you are going to use him.

Is there anywhere I can find out in what specific regions I can find fiends? I'm trying to catch them for the training arena in the Calm Lands, but for some reason I can't seem to *find* some of them, even though I'm in the right area, generally speaking. For example, I've run back and forth in the Thunder Plains any number of times, but have yet to be attacked by a Qactuar (although I've been attacked by everything else a whole lot). The same goes for the Calm Lands, where the Ogres are stubbornly keeping their distance from me.

If someone could point me in the right direction, or perhaps provide me with a helpful strategy, that would be awesome.

Easy Winning
on the sphere grid you need to keep giving the charachters more hp and on a weapon for each make sure that there is "break hp limit" on it. Once you do this your hp will be able to go all the way to 99999. During the fight make sure to use auto-life on all. Have Rikku use her overdrive and mix two door to tomorrows (will create trio of 9999) Then use tidus' overdrive Blitz ace. When rikku's overdrive guage is filled mix a gamblers spirit and a door to tomorrow, or two supreme gems, or two dark matters. (sunburst) If you are still stuck after doing all this got to www.ffspirit.net they have answers too.

In the calm lands go to the far north west to find ogres if you cant find them there go towards mt. gagazet but go down in the valley (where you find yojimbo) and there should be some there. To catch a cactaur in the thunder plains first you have to activate all of the cactaur stones (this will also let you have kimahri's legendary weapon) than go far south to find a cactuar ghost just roaming around the horizon leading you to an old unfinished lighting rod go there and press square you will get kimahri's weapon but now you have to find the ghost again. sometimes it is at the north end sometimes it is at the south end. However he does not move now. go up ant press square he will dissapear and a normal cactau will appear walk up to it and press x you can now fight one this time he can not use run away he will use 10000 needles once then a normal attack.

how do you get Tidus to learn the Jecht Shot 2? I know the Jecht Shot 1 and i have learned the three techniques but what after that?

yea...all his key techniques...once you copy all of them from other players you can get Jecht Shot Two...but it's a tricky process, it takes a while

I'm trying to complete the Calm Lands monster capture mission, but after I get one of every other fiend, including the Stolen Fayth, there is still one missing. Anyone know what it is?

Omega Ruins is too tough for me. Yet, i managed to whoop ass on Yunalesca with no worries. I have all the Aeons up to Anima.

Simply put, i cant beat Sin before he goes into Overdrive mode. I figure i just need to level up some more and get stronger.

Well if its really difficult you could always use the Celestial weapons. Those weapons can break the damage limit of 9999. That's how I beat Sin Overdrive easily. I can't think of anything else other than leveling up, which would take too much time. So yea I say you should go with Celestial weapons.

Yeah, maybe you just need to progress further through the sphere grid. I think that an easy way to beat most bosses is to use your overdrives. Your characters and the aeons. Magus Sisters are great to have also. They can do a lot of damage. You should pretty much be set if you do everyone's overdrive. If you still have problems, get the celestial weapons and maybe level up a little. Also maybe you should upgrade your armor. With some good armor you can stay alive for awhile. Good luck with beating Sin.

You find the withered bouquet in the place where you find flint near the start of the game and you get the mask of conquest when you beat nemesis in the monster arena. Iv beaten the game 3 times including penance and all and i have never found any use for these two items. If anyone can enlighten me i would be much apreciated! many thanks.

Is there any benefit of teaching an Aeon "Full-Life" ? Can they actually revive other aeons, or not?

I can help you with that one. Aeons cant use full life on other aeons, I think the only benefit of an aeon knowing full life is so that it can be casted on enemies under the zombie status.

Nah the "Withered Bouquet is all but useless after using it with the flint, been through the game enough times to find it did'nt hold any real importance except to help with the fire As for the mask of conquest, I don't know, I'm still going through the monster arena quests.

There is a thing like that on FFVIII that you get after you beat Omega weapon, this is just like it, it really doesnt do anything what-so-ever, but its jsut there to prove your strength, that you've beaten the strongest monster in the game, but seeing as you seem to have beaten penance, then i guess they forgot to change it or remove it after adding additional bosses.

Withered Bouquet is used at the begining of the game.
When Tidus feels cold and he wants to get warm

There is a path on Besaid Island that it simply won't let me go down; when you try to walk that way, Tidus simply runs back to the top of the little hill it's on. How can I access that area? I have the airship but plan on doing some sidequests before confronting Sin.

EDIT: Also, how is the butterfly-catching sidequest even possible?!? I keep reading people saying how easy it is but as far as I can see there aren't seven blue ones to catch on the first branch of it! (Where the guy with the headdress is). Even when I manage to run the course with no significant delays and no encounters, I get six blue butterfiles:

One right away, on (from Tidus' point of view) the right-hand side.
Dodge two reds, then there's another on the right side of the path
Dodge two more reds, then there's another in a little alcove on the left side
Dodge three or four reds and a multicoloured one (which seems to be, for all practical purposes, exactly the same as a red one), by which time you've gone up a little rise, and get a fourth on the left side of the path just where it takes a sharp right turn
Dodge about two more reds then there's an easy blue one on the right
The chest appears, but THERE IS NO SEVENTH BLUE ONE anywhere I can reach in the remaining time! Just one multicoloured one and a whole near-impassable crowd of reds!

that path is the path where Tidus and Wakka came from after they first meet.You cant go there anymore.

Yeah,it is possible to beat the butterfly game but in my opinion its hard.
I know that the 7th butterfly is behind Tidus after you trigger the mini-game.
You lose alot of time when going to that butterfly.you only need some practice

No, as far as I can tell there's no butterfly behind Tidus on the branch of the butterfly subquest I was referring to (where the guy with the headdress is standing). If you're sure there is one, could you be more specific as to where it is?

This is a map of the areas. It's from the Ultimania guide, so you know it's good. They also provided a decent route for you to take, however, you may have to alter from their provided route due to the movement of the butterflies, but for the most part, it works, and I used this to help me beat the mini-game.

And no, it's not easy.
