    FFX HD(favourite game ever)

I was watching the new HD trailer for the ffx HD remake and I have to say how much ffx has touched me growing up.
Played this game at around 10yrs old and remember how much it made me feel that good old ff goodness and have since realised after watching that trailer just how much it gave me that feeling and how no ff before or since has ever lived up to it in that way!! And I've played them all!
Anyone else feel this way about this game? Love it so much XD

I can't say I share the same sentiment with regards to FFX, but I definitely understand that feeling.

I'm really excited for FFX|X-2 HD. X is (barely) in my top 5 Final Fantasy titles (although I think XIV:ARR is about to nudge it out) and it's definitely got a great story. I'm less excited about having it in HD or the "chance" to play it again as it's literally sitting on a shelf right over there, and much MORE excited about the fact that we're going to finally get all of the bonus International Edition content that was never released in the NA regions.

    Also, welcome to TFF~

I cant believe us oceanians got something that you didn't. Although the advanced sphere grid isn't that great (IMO), I almost never select it on my playthroughs mainly because its lacking 55 spheres in total in comparison and the golden colour is off-putting.

love the ffx-2 battle system also. Gonna have a lot of fun maxing out all those dresspheres.

The advanced sphere grid is challenging due to the fact that you can screw up the stats and roles of your characters. I've read about people having to restart their playthrough for the fact they screwed up their sphere grid.

The US generally doesn't get the international releases like FFX and FFXII which makes me sad.

Ahh see I'm from the UK so had the extras.
Advanced sphere grid is ok, Defo better than standard, you can get your character really specialised in a certain aspect rather than just an average Joe in every dept.

I do prefer being able to lock them into roles. While I'm all for customization, it gets bland when everyone can do everything. I'll probably use the Advanced Grid for the mild form of challenge it introduces, plus... you know... all those crazy bosses later on :3

X used to be one of my favourites, but now that I've been able to play other Final Fantasys, it's fallen out of my top five. It's still a great game though, but because I have the International version, I probably won't be getting the remake any time soon.

On the topic of the International version, I feel kinda bad that I've only ever used the Expert 'Grid once and that file only got as far as Gagazet. And I've only beat Dark Valefore as well, as she requires the least amount of grinsing to defeat.

The thing is though with the monster colliseum, the only thing that becomes important is how many slots you have to use your +4's in your sphere grid. For completionist purposes and for general maxing your characters out, the advanced sphere grid is inferior due to having less sphere slots. Some of those crazy bosses require you to raise your characters stats far above what the grid offers. But for general purposes, the advanced sphere grid gives more freedom in terms of what people can learn, its less linear. But as some people have already stated, unless you want lulu hitting for more damage than tidus, characters are free to move out of their pre-set roles based purely on the path you decide to take on the grid.

Challenge Accepted for the Dark Aeons is what that sounds like.

Challenge doesn't include using Zanmato on them. Good luck with the magus sisters.

I've never gotten Zanmato in my Final Fantasy Career and I am glad for it.

I'm kind of nervous about the remake. I think Tidus' face and hair looks odd, and yuna's earring looks plastic. I hope the character models look better in the finished game. Since I'm from the UK I already have the international version. The only thing extra I'm getting is the Last Mission (I think it's called) in X-2. Oh and also the artbook.

I can't even remember much about the standard sphere grid, because I played it on my first time and every time after I've used to Advanced grid. I love being able to change which characters do what. Taking Yuna down Auron's path basically breaks the game since once you get Anima you're unstoppable.

But now...When I look back... The people who should be here aren't.
The ones who should be smiling with me aren't here."

There's a new trailer out (5 minutes long, spoilers basically the entire plot) and it's made me feel much better about the remaster. I think it actually looks pretty good, and though I was worried about Tidus, I think he looks okay in this trailer and fingers crossed in the game as well. Also, Yuna in X-2 looks more like Yuna in X now, which always bugged me in the past.

Majority of the players getting the game honestly have already played at least X. I knew the story of X-2 mostly from a friend who was playing it (it's also the ONLY FF game he has played...FFX-2 lol) so it's not that big of a spoiler to me. I do see why though it's kind of irritating. For the people who haven't touched the game and were interested in it basically just got the OH SHI- moments ruined for them.
