I kept holding on for the Aurochs originals for a long time.
Now i have the following:
Tidus - Top scorer
Wakka - Defense
Brother - Middle
Kyou - Defense or middle( Can't remember the formation right now)
Miyu - Goal
Blappa - Second top scorer
They are all around level 30, and a good team i think
Interesting picks. I didn't put brother on the team, and I went with Kyou in goal. He had something like a 16 catch rating to start with which was the highest I found among people not already signed. So far nobody has been released with anything better.
It's hard to find solid defensive guys. Go find Ropp at the Mihin High Road Al-Bhed shop. He is good to put in the backfield. Good defensive stats and attacks, and a great pass rating to get the ball upfield.
I think Miyu has about 25 in catch in my game now.
In addition i have the that skill(can't rememeber the name)
whick spins the amount and stops randomly.
It has given me up to 35 in catch

He has amazing speed
