What is your favorite reason to play this game

So I had a question for you

I wanted to know, what is your favorite reason for playing this game?

FF 9 is a lot of fun with good music and I like the characters a lot

There is a lot of twists in the story and unexpected things happen

But my favorite reason for playing this game is Vivi && Steiner together, when they do their combo magic moves

I wish more FF games had combo attacks like that!!

FF IX was PS1's last beautiful display(in my opinion) before PS2 took the wheel. I have argued with endless gamers about FF IX's relevance in the series. However, I personally love the game!

The music is perfect in every way. The characters are unique and blend in very well with the world of FF IX. The battle system added to the fun by adding a rarely used 4th slot to the party. As well as utilize Steiner and Vivi's specialty with a great team attack. Which were not widely used by Square since Chrono Trigger. Finally, Vivi is one of the coolest mages to ever cast a spell.

I play mostly for the story, the romance and humor are a huge part of it. Some of the cut scenes are truly awesome. Among my favorites would be the beginning scene where

Oh man this game just attracts me for every aspect! So so fun, such a great story, beautiful soundtrack and amazing visuals

The story was pretty fantastic and I didn't have any issues following it or getting attached to most of the characters. The only character I really couldn't relate with at the time was Quina. We'll see how that stands when I replay in the next couple of months, though.

The story definitely. I love seeing Zidane and Dagger fall in love. Kuja as well, I love him as a villain.

It was all about the return to the roots, and the really lighthearted feel from the other games. I mean, I loved 7 and 8, but 9 had such an upbeat feel at the beginning, and had me immediately hooked.

I also loved the system where the characters had their own specific classes and were limited in their roles. You have a thief, a tank, various mages, and two summoners, and you could run four of them out at a time. I also loved that you could combine Vivi and Steiner's skills for charged attacks.

It was the little things that made the game great.
